Title: Old players at half time.... Post by: Reg Smeeton on Saturday, September 30, 2006, 20:43:38 ....didn't see the full line up here and not sure what the reason was for them being there , but on the subject of strikers, it was good to see Keith East and Dennis (Bullets) Brown out there.
Its a strange feeliing knowing I'm one of the few in the TE who can recall these players. East had one excellent season, saw him score 4 in a Cup game v Merthyr, then follow it up with 5 v Mansfield a week later....Brown I saw score 4 at Bormuff....all from range. Bronco Layne, was just before my time....but he was a a class player with Sheff Wed, but got caught up in the match fixing saga and was banged up. Bronco Layne was a popular TV western of the time. Ernie Hunt....was a seriously good player. Title: Old players at half time.... Post by: Jamiesfuturewife on Saturday, September 30, 2006, 21:12:30 I was in the exec suite today - all the old players were in there they are trying to get them all back together about 4/5 times a year apparntly.
Ernie Hunt came and sat on our table - he is so sweet and a bit nuts - I want him as my grandad! Title: Old players at half time....
