Title: Anyone else?
Post by: Gazza's Fat Mate on Friday, September 29, 2006, 16:57:25
During the course of my working day I get to decided whether or not to ruin people live (to sue them or not) and I take great pleasure in always sueing people even when i know they are going to lose their house etc and if i said not to sue then it wouldn't happen but i always say yes

Does anyone else get "evil pleasure" from thier job?

The whole sueing system needs a radical overhaul, it's playing havoc with insurance premiums etc.

No claim no blame bullshit should be out lawed, fucking americans have a lot to answer for, they started all this crap.

Um if there isn't a claim then there is no blame, and that's probably a good thing. If someone claimed off me when I was not to blame I would be mighty pissed off.

Sorry to state the obvious but I think you need to re-think your post.

Erm, I think you need to rethink yours - there are plenty of times where there is blame without there being a claim. I'm with Jan, ambulance-chasing lawyers are pretty much next to "people who ring me when I'm trying to have my dinner to sell me financial services I don't want and try to pretend it's not a sales call" in my personal lexicon of people who should be shot forthwith.

No claim. First. No blame as a consequence. If I don't claim against you, I don't blame you. Dumbass.

But if I said no blame, no claim, you'd be perfectly correct.

Bullshit. If, for example, you scraped my car door with yours, I might well blame you, but decide it's not worth the aggro of submitting a legal claim given that I'd retrieve peanuts. May be an idea to engage brain before keyboard, especially if resorting to abuse.

Ah but then there would be a blame and no claim. Not no blame and no claim.

Druken inspiration is amazing.

I'm not a lawyer, just a pedant.

Sorry, that's a terrible accusation to make of anyone. As a pedant, though, you really need to brush up on your definitions  :D And now, I formally concede the ground to you sir, as I'm knackered and off to my pit.

Yeah you're right, I was thinking about the no win no fee shit.

But my point was more to do with the whole somethings gone wrong which a couple of years ago I'd have just accepted now some fucking solicitor's there trying to make you sue someone just so they get a fee out of it, thus in turn putting the premiums and prices up for everyone else.

It's ok. I agreed with the point, but just wanted to sound like a (clever) dick.
