Not sure about that. He has certianly made a bit of a twat of himself in the past couple of weeks though.

Well at least he's done the decent thing to be honest, have to pay respect to the guy for that. After all, at least he put himself infront of the fans unlike any of the other board members apart from Devlin?

Holt Resigns from Town Post

Swindontownfc.co.uk can confirm that Bob Holt has this afternoon resigned from his position of non-executive director.

The 57-year old had been a member of the Town Board since 2001 but following comments made before last night's draw at Wycombe Wanderers, Holt offered his resignation to the Board in an open letter and has now departed from his duties at SN1.

Holt had fulfilled a number of roles during his County Ground tenure, including a spell as Chief Executive.

The club would like to place on record their appreciation for all Bob's hard work and wish him every success for the future.

They are dropping like flies off shit  :|

This report on the website claims he quit in an open letter. Why have they not published this?

maybe because it says he was wrong when he said Wise was staying and they don't want more rumours about all this

Good lord this charade has more twists and turns than an episode of everyone’s Sunday favourite 60’s police drama heartbeat.

That leaves just James Wills, the delectable Sandy and Willie left on the board.  As an interesting point of note both Mark Devlin and Bill Power are listed as club directors on the official site, I certainly don’t remember that happening.  

As the official site hints at it inevitably looks like the interview on the Beeb last night pulled the trigger.  I doubt we’ll ever really know, but I wonder if it was truly a ‘it’s him or me’ ultimatum’ from the gaffer that led to the director jumping before being pushed.  The only other possibility could be a clearing of the decks to make room for new blood possibly the investors James Will has been talking to.

Come the end of it I do feel a bit sorry for old Bob.  He’s clearly been used as a mouthpiece and not really been clued up on what’s been said previously, sometimes by himself and fallen foul as a result.  I don’t think he’s a bad old chap just one from the old school that shouldn’t have been put in the position in the first place.  

Finally, he was at one point listed as a director on the holding company so I’m curious if  he’ll be resigning from there as well or will he still be in line for a piece of cake.

I remember Devlin being appointed as a non-exec director when he came back, but not Power.

As to the letter, it was written AFTER the infamous interview and was basically his resignation. But, you usually don't write an open letter as a resignation so I'm just wondering what it said.

Could he have had a go in it?? Or was it just an apology. We need to know.

Despite everything, I'd have to agree. The un-Wise comments may have been the trigger, but this smacks of throwing someone to the wolves to take the heat off. FWIW, I will quite miss Bob - at least when he turned up you knew there really was trouble, like a cross between Kate Adie and the 5th horseman. How are we going to tell now?

You'll know it's really bad when Willie Carson shows up for a board meeting. Haha ... I jest.

Actually, Martyn Starnes, the accounts guy seems to be getting lummoxed with all the "Jobs that have suddenly fallen vacant because we've sacked them". He must have one hell of a CV now.

holt's a nothing man - diamandis would give him a bit of work or something to say to the press and he'd do it for him. nothing more nothing less. anyone who has been involved in the club; therefore power (and a lot who are not) knows that

Had no idea till I clicked this thread.

My gut reaction is one of relief, he's undermined Wise and he's lost his job. Hopefully that will encourage Dennis that he's in charge. Lets hope so.

bob holt....not too fussed. He seems have done abit for the club though but....yeh, oh well.

Today's adver back page makes a mistake and says "Devlin followed investor Bill Power, who quit due to ill health last week, out of the exit door yesterday".

You should be worried mate. Devlin isnt comming back to the club. Whether he gets paid out the rest of his contract for doing nothing is another matter.

Communication has broken down absolutely. If they (BP/MD and current board) talk to each other its likely to be in the courts.
