As the bloke who sat behind me kept saying all throught the second half, he's not the greatest player in the world but fuck me he puts some effort in.

A lot more than Roberts did today.

I agree, skinned their bloke a treat down the left....put the ball across goal....about 4 or 5 white shirts and only 1 red one....

i thought he was our best player today! fair play to him for actually putting in some effort!

i still think he's gash, the only assets he has is his pace and the fact he's completely unpredictable, which isn't a particularly good thing for him.

He only looks good, when the rest of the team is having a nightmare game.

Not the sign of a good player.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him start alongside Peacock next week.

Maybe given that we have no width in our style of play we might go out with three up top and hope for the best on the break. :?

I'd start Fola and Brownlie as t'other 2 have been shite for 3 games.

I'd go with Fola and Lukas.....Jutkeiwicz looks to be a natural goalscorer, Fola can cause some mayhem and create some chances.   Notts County have a trip to MBoro in midweek, so hopefully they'll pick up some injuries and cards lose in extra time and be knackered.

If the conspoiracy theorists are to be believed, and I've a completely open mind about this....we'll go for a few at Notts.

bit of a gamble when we're struggling to score in open play as it is.

fola doesn't look like he has the scoring knack and brownlie's not really had a chance of note, bar the one he skied at wrexham.

it needs to be mixed up though, so i'd bring lukas in for peacock as i still believe roberts has enough about him, he nearly scored yesterday after all.

In games where the away team are just spoiling you have to keep your tempo up and put pressure on them. The crowd responds, eventually the opposition will tire and gaps will open up.

Ok Fola, isnt cultured, buts hes so fast and so strong he is a handful when we are playing against a team with 6 at the back.

The players to give us width have been picked - Caton/Brown and Weston/Shakes - but haven't produced the goods. Midfield being under the cosh hasn't helped.

But have they been told to be a bit tighter?  Weston got to the touch line once and skinned the guy - why are they looking to drift inside so much if it isn't what they're told to do?

We're clearly capable of getting in behind out wide but don't look to do it for some reason.

Because they don't follow instructions? Wise said after the game he wanted the ball in early, not delayed with fancy stuff.

but they've been playing narrow all season, so wouldn't you think wise had beaten that out of em by now?

Caton looked intimidated by the size and ferocity of those Posh lumps. He'll mature. Great prospect.
Looks like Weston was very lucky to stay on at half time. Don't be surprised to see him rested next game.

they were a nasty looking team in terms of height, the two full-backs with gangly buggers.

yesterday and tuesday proved that weston is not a winger, he doesn't posess any of the neccesary qualities and if he is rested for notts co, it'll be no big loss. he's got undoubted potential but as a central midfielder.

by the looks of things, wise wants them to play narrow whilst still getting crosses into the box. the problem we have is that all our crosses come from the same angle, there's no mixing up types of delivery etc and it's making us too predictable.

As soon as Smith is fit again, i'd put Shakes back on the wing, and drop Ince for Weston. Our team has changed a little too much from when we were winning regularly.

Why did he stick to the touch line so much though, he should have stayed central, as Wisey was screaming at him to do.

If I was wisey, I'd read the riot act to the front 2 and give them "1 last chance" on saturday to improve their contribution.

Peacock was poor on saturday, and Roberts was abysmal.

BUT for me they are clearly the 2 best strikers at the club, and have done fairly well so far.  If they dont improve at Notts Cunty then ring the changes.

It would help if they were given some service though :|

Roberts does seem to sulk when he gets the ball in the air instead of to his feet. We know he likes it on the ground, but if he wants to get into games hes going to have to take hoof balls too. Just the way it is in div 4.
