If Roberts cant be arsed to run, put effort it or even challenge for the ball then he should be dropped

I was amazed and pretty pissed off that lazy Roberts came out for the 2nd half and Caton went off (unless he was injured, havnt heard after match interviews)

Caton was running at players, taking them on....look lively full of energy and was challenging for and winning headers.

About time he was given a proper chance up top

u having a laugh?? Caton was fucking shit 2day, he didnt look bothered he didnt do fuck all, just went thru the motions, poorly!!

I missed today so can't judge but every game roberts has tried his all...so 1 performance would be harsh to drop him, unless he really was THAT bad.

you're clearly confusing Caton with Roberts...the only time Roberts challenged was when he ran back to stupidly give a free kick in our own half a minute before half time.....which led to their goal.

Oh and he got given a golden chance in the 2nd half and hit the post, other than that he did nothing.

At least Caton was challenging....how many times did Roberts just let the peterbrough defender win the ball in the air without so much of a challenge

I agree that Lukas should definetly be in the frame for a starting slot.
Personally, i wouldnt mind seeing us play with an attacking midfielder...Possibly Brownlie playing behind Peacock and Roberts? Or even Roberts playing in that role with Onibuje upfront with Peacock?

fuck sake. lets just get some fucking perspective here. So far this season, roberts has been a completely new player, and people having been ssaying how great he is. He even won player of the month ffs. But he has one crap match, and now everyone wants him dropped. I know he played cack today, perhaps it was that time of the month. But you dont drop him after just one game.

If he continues in the same vain against notts county, then we can question his position. However, i dont think wise will allow that, and i can see roberts coming back with a bang in the next game.

well by the term cack, i meant everything about him was awful today. However, like i said, its one game. Im sure wise will of noted his lack of effort, and will take steps to change it.

why put caton up front? the kid prefers playing out wide by his own admission, let him focus on making that left-wing position his own and bring lukas in, who seems to have become the forgotten man of late.

it's been in the adver a few times this week, saying that he was asked to play out wide in a youth/reserve game by ian woan as he thought caton had potential there. he's been playing there ever since.

in his own words, he likes running at people and taking them on, so it suits him.

The problem I saw today was that Caton drifted inside too much and Roberts went too wide.

to lightweight at the moment, the centre backs in this league wud fucking murder him he is better as a left winger, DV how can u sum up browns performance by 1 cross?? u referred to it about 3 times, u say u cant judge Caton on 1 game yet your judging Browns performance yesterday on 1 cross

i think you can judge someone performance by how much effort they put in. just like the majority of the team there was little to no effort. where as caton ran like he wanted the ball, unlike brown who ran. then stopped and had a nap

I think considering that's only ou first home defeat of the season, we need to put it into perspective. Roberts has played well this year and although I didn't see him yesterday, he must have been pretty aweful to cancel out all the good work he's done so far and deserve to be dropped

Give Wisey the next game to sort things out before you start slagging off his team selection - maybe he will just give them a kick up the arse and they will get back to winning ways?!

Doesnt matter how you're built if you've got the ability to run through people like Caton does...the pace and close control that Caton was would scare most league 2 centre backs.

I havent judged Brown at all....infact I think he should play on the left, I think he is our best option....however yesterday, like everyone else he was usless...and his final ball was truely fucking awful (not that he was only in that)

am i the only 1 who thought Caton didnt look interested at all? he tracked players back but never tried to win the ball, like Duke used to, just run alongside the player. Don't get me wrong i like Caton think in the future will be a big player for us and although he was poor yesterday id be happy for him to start at Notts County

I've heard that Chelsea are looking at Caton at the moment. Probably bollocks but thought I'd post it none the less.

I did say it was probably bollocks. One of their youth scouts was there on Saturday apparently. That should have put them off.  :mrgreen:

To be fair Chelsea seem to be hoovering youth up like a Westbrook nostril on a Columbian sabbatical.

Plus our old mucker Jimmy Fraiser is now head of their youth set-up so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them sniffing about.
