We. Are. Ace.

Great to see so many people. A lot will have gone just to see Ince and although we didn't play particularly well the atmospere and the win are likely to encourage them to return

I regretted wearing as much as I did, very hot in there tonight.

Did MK actually sing anything? All I heard was the drumming and clapping. Was quite suprised by how many they brought, was expecting about half of that.

They sang Millwall's song, that was about all I heard.

The incessant clapping was very grating, which sums them up as a club quite well.

Just after they scored they manged 2 lines of 'Top of the league? You're having a laugh' before being blown out by our boys with 'Who the fucking hell are you? - it all went very quiet from them after that :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

It's not a mosh pit without crowdsurfing. You lot missed the perfect opportunity there last night, I would have been right up there knocking all you bastards down with my girth!

But I was a wimp who sat quietly in the Arkells as always...

I ventured up that side last night and have to say I found it annoying, not how it used to be at all.  That whole left side/right side thing was fucking stupid and was actually being taken as a start of a fight by a load of them.  They spent the best part of 10 minutes arguing amongst each other and they spent the rest of the game singing to fast.

I have nothing against kids getting involved, I used to, but you need to integrate in amongst the bigger boys to make yourself effective.  These kids treat it like a school lunchtime or something.

Agreed i thought the junior Robins had a bit too much cola on the way in but it did seem it could turn into a slapping match the more it went on. However did anyone see the bloke in the luminous yellow coat who could not find a seat and kept wandering around looking lost while loads of people offered "Helpfull" advice as their were about 20 seats free, classic :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick:

 I got the fright of my life at half time! In the arkells me and my mate walked right down the end because there was loads of people down there and then the dongs fans started throwing bottles through the latch thing. We then went out that door and did'nt realise we were down those steps right next to the fence with all the dongs fans staring at us.It was well scary.Quickly ran back in again 8) I looked up to see if I could stop any fellow townenders but I could'nt really.

I feel I should clarify my stance a little (following a lambasting by Kev on the L&P forum).  I don't have any issue with kids getting behind the team, which they did try and do for most of the game.  It was a very specific period in the 2nd half where it went Pete Tong with about 30 or so trying (it seemed) to start a fight amongst themselves.

Someone then managed to get them back focussed on the game.

its become a complete joke up there! i remember when the chants were serious ones getting behind the team. now they are just the complete opposite and aimed always at a dig at the away fans. but what i saw last night was just plain stupid

Fast chanting is a disgrace. The shirts at the back of the Town End and the travel club massive are also pretty bad. Dont want to sound like an old git, but sing the songs properly. In time.

The only thing they do that I like up the top right of the Nationwide is that countdown, then jump up and down on the spot.

Least they didnt drop kids prices this season. Well done club.

i stood in that part of the top right last season, and compared to the town end, its a bit shit. the only good things about it are the bounce chant, and sinbad, the greatest steward that ever lived.

Been back in the TE since it was opened back up to us -  the South stand used to be ok, but not a patch on the TE - how loud does it sound from say, centre of the main stands, because to honest, you don't hear a peep from the top of the Nationwide lot

hardly heard a peep last night from the townend....

couple of chants of dennis wise barmy army....other than that nothing.....

to me anyway, townend hasnt really hit top form this season....it hasnt since our play off season.

Its been years since we really abused a goal keeper....I remember a chant that seemed to last for a good half an hour of flitney is a homo......or the time we abused leon knight and he tried to take on the town end after he scored... :D

If you sit where DV and i sit Spud, the noise from the TE doesn't seem to reach us.Probably when your in there it does sound loud but i have to say i've not really noticed it being any better than last season tbh[although due to my South Stand bias i doubt admit it anyway  ]

From a purely potential for sound view, I'd guess the NW stand could create more noise given the same people trying it in each stand.  Simply because the North Stand opposite will act to improve acoustics (being larger and closed off at the ends).

The TE sounds quite Loud when you are up close and personal, but it doesn't carry so well.  I doubt the new stand helps much compared to the old Shrivy Road.

I think while we're all sucking each other's dick's over our attendances we should take note of Oxford's Conference attendances:

5785 vs Halifax
5364 vs Northwich Victoria
6190 vs St Albans
6083 vs Exeter

Impressive... for pond life..

Hopefully they'll bring a fair few down to Crawley.
