last night, walking through the tunnel into the stand itself it struck me that we're in league two. this was my first away game and it just confirmed to me that we're well and truly in the basement division.

it was such a dull, lifeless and plain ground. it reminded me of rushden & diamonds, another non-league club which is chester's rightful home i feel.

i didn't know any of their players - bar roberto martinez - and there was no atmosphere from the home fans.

the kiosk ran out of food and drink with 800 away fans.

it was all a bit strange realy.

we're definitely in the rochdale league, as reg would say. i hope we're not here very long  :(

We're very much a big fish in a small pond. I like it in League Two.

It feels like we support a big club in this league, i quite like it  :D

:D It feels really good to know that we have the biggest names in league 2.

to be fair, there are grounds just as bad and poorly run in the division above....

The thing that has really made the fact we are in league two sink in, is the pure shite of the other teams.

We went out in all 3 cups to league two teams last season, so I didnt think the drop in quality was going to be that much.

I'm clearly wrong, the standard is woeful...

But Sonic pointed out last night, it doesn't feel the same. last season when we won it was a great feeling, but this season doesn't feel the same. I think we all have high expectations as fans and expect the team to win every game..

After watching Carlisle over the years with my dad's Cumbrian friend i can confirm that this league is very shit.

Thats because we hardly ever won last season, and when we did we really needed to because otherwise we would have been facing relegation sooner...

Still, I cheer a win this season as much as I did last season. Every point counts.

I admit that this season winning does not feel the same.

I almost expect us to win now...and although I accept we are going to lose some time, it will feel quite disappointing.

And you didn't feel dissapointed when we lost before?  :roll:

I didnt....last season it was fully expected...

it's just a total turnaround, last season i'd go to games expecting to lose and a win would be a momentous occurence which meant that little bit more.

i'm certainly not complaining, it's just strange how quickly things can change so drastically.

We're be throwing a tandrum now if god forbid we should draw a match  :shock:

agreed, also I know we're in a lower division, but this seasons team would piss all over last seasons team with ease

I agree. Less mistakes, tighter at the back, more desire and determination, and two forwards who WANT to score goals and WANT the club to do well

stop slagging it off.
