with vincent and monkhouse likely to be missing we got a slight dilema.i think we either put nicho at left back and brown on the wing but this is the team i wouldnt be suprised to see tomorow.

the only reason i think he will play that team is because he has not played nicho left back yet .i may be wrong but wouldnt be suprised to see that team

A thrashing is defo in the pipeline, although right now, I'd still accept a 1-0 win.

The points are the most important thing. Especially heading into what I consider a very tricky September schedule.

By the end of September we'll know if we're genuine promotion candidates.  Very tricky matches home and away.  Franchise, Peterborough, Wrexham, Wycombe, Notts County...

If we're still top by the start of October we're the real deal, if we're still unbeaten I'll streak across the magic roundabout!!!!

If we score early, then i reckon we can score at least 3 goals.  However the longer it takes Town to score, the more i fear Stockport will stick 10 men behind the ball hoping for a 0-0 draw.

stockport haven't won a game yet, so a thrashing may well be in the pipeline.

Any ideas why CCp wasn't given a go Tuesday?

I want to see caton and Holgate get back on the pitch. think they both deserve it. Brown played well, but needs to get in the press and commit himself as well as stick the odd cross in the box before he's convinced me he's not a tit.

It doesn't look like we'll see much of CC-P this season. With Vincent out it's a fair shout that he may make the bench.

We should approach this game like the others because County will be desperate to get 3 points.

As long as they're as dreadful as they were the last time they came to Swindon (3-0 all the goals coming in a short space of time) a couple of seasons ago.

none of the young one are going to start. it will be a similar line-up to the one that played Darlington

what's the score with comyn-platt? he's featured in pre-season and for the reserves but looks as if wise doesn't rate him.

he played at left-back a fair few times in pre-season, so perhaps we could see him in place of vincent on saturday?

maybe it's a case of thinking he'd be 1 too many young players in the back line and Wise likes to keep an experienced head in there.

weird looking at that team, a year and a half ago and not one of those players is still at the club.

The first goal is going to be vital in every game at home this season. Just about every team is going to come here and try and spoil the game with ten men behind the ball and nick a winner from a set piece or something. It's up to us to go at teams, get on top and dictate the play. By getting the first goal we will draw teams out, which will suit our play and thats when we might muller someone.

jim, is CCP considered more of a leftback than a centre back by Wise? Vice versa for Nicho...
