Sorry to repeat the thread from two weeks ago, but it's Orange Wednesday film night again....

New choices this week are:
- Lady in the Water  :)
- Nacho Libre  :?

Anyone seen them and would care to offer an opinion?

Not seen Lady in the Water but it's been deemed as sheeeite from what I've heard. Think the scummer downloaded NL, so try asking him if he's on MSN?

I get the feeling I might skip this week as the other choices would be Garfield 2, Cars (seen - reasonable), PotC2 (seen - and its pants).

It seems there's utter crap on at the moment

What did you see last week?

Could always give Miami Vice a go?

nacho libre looks alright.

the summer 'blockbusters' have passed so it's mostly kids films or stuff that's been on awhile, like potc2.

brick (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0393109/) is on at cineworld in swindon, so may be on elsewhere. not seen it myself but is well worth checking out by all accounts.

Heard nothing but poor reviews on Miami Vice  :?

Missed last week, spent my money on the Barnet match instead. Last one was Superman Returns (also pants).

Off for a curry night instead, choices looking so bad this week  :)

That's the worst film name I've ever heard.

I just watched Nacho Libre, in fairness I don't think people would find it funny, and probably wouldn't enjoy it unless they like wrestling.

Films look poo at the moment, but on a positive note, my curry tonight was fantastic  :D

i have watched cars....my great verdict is...its ok.

it has his moments, if you need to waste some time go watch it like i did, if not, don't bother really. not missing much. depends if you like kid films really aswell.

believe me I have time to waste  :D  I might change my mind when I get there

Seen Cars - I'm with Johno, it's ok and good for a cheap laugh. But don't expect Finding Nemo or Shrek type magic, it's just a reasonable film with a few laughs.

nacho libre isn't that great. if you've seen napoleon dynamite its filmed in a very similar style and for me one of the good things about napoleon was the originality, so thats taken away. i really like jack black but as much as i tried to really like it, i was left a bit dissapointed. a few laughs but nothing to cause a second hernia.

Shrek's ok but there are too many computer animated films imo. I don't care if I'm being snobbish but I don't have kids so have no need to watch kiddies films.

Bring back proper cartoon animation anyway and I might be tempted.

The Ghibli films on FilmFour are pretty good at the moment. Apart from the bloody adverts

I take it back Transformers is going to be ace.

I think the problem is cartoons aren't what they used to be. They're either Pokermon and Yu Go Ho or whatever it's called. The computer films tend to be about trying to find their way home etc.

Mr Northern, what, it is a great review....it sums it up, i don't get it the whole thing, it was just awful. Had its funny moments. Oh yeh but if you like superheroes, sex, girls fighting, hot actress then yeh watch it i guess.
The actual film though is cack.

Out of sheer boredom I watched Date Movie last night. Thought it would be rubbish but not that rubbish! It really wasn't even worth watching just to kill some tiem before MOTD  :disapprove:

Gave up halfway through Date Movie while on the plane home from Boston - Utter crap

Another 2 hours of my life on that plane were wasted watching The Matador starring Pierce Brosnan. That was even worse!

I thought Nacho Libre was ace, but i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't a Jack Black/wrestling fan. I heard a rumour JB's going to WWE :D
