Title: Hostel Post by: Ralphy on Monday, August 14, 2006, 19:59:52 Just watched Tarrantino's latest film :chunder:
Very, very disturbing. He must have had a bad childhood. Title: Hostel Post by: McLovin on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:00:49 Hehe, i'm yet to see it. My little sis couldn't sleep when she saw it last week!
Title: Hostel Post by: Sippo on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:00:52 I've got it on dvd, but haven't got around to watching it yet. I'm not a big fan of horrors...
Title: Hostel Post by: Ralphy on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:02:04 It's fucking sick. And i love nasty, gruesome films.
Title: Hostel Post by: Onion_Jimbo on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:02:15 its not by Tarrantino
Title: Hostel Post by: Ralphy on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:02:55 Well he's an editor of some sort!
Title: Hostel Post by: Onion_Jimbo on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:04:42 pretty sure he just turned up once when it was being filmed. Written and directed by someone else
Title: Hostel Post by: Ralphy on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:04:58 Directed by Eli Roth and produced by Tarrantino.
Title: Hostel Post by: Dazzza on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:16:57 Talking of dodgy horrors Saw 3 is out this year, trailer online.....

whilst we're on the subject, i hate quentin Title: Hostel Post by: hansgruber on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:33:32 Saw was good. Saw II was ok. Saw III looks to be the same again, so might wear a little bit thin.
I like the sound of Hostel. Any other good horrors about at the moment? Title: Hostel Post by: Ginginho on Monday, August 14, 2006, 20:49:34 Tarantino films are all shit
Title: Hostel Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Monday, August 14, 2006, 21:03:46 That's not true though. Pulp fiction is a fucking great film. Reservoir dogs and kill bill aren't bad but pulp fiction is a classic.
Title: Hostel Post by: juddie on Monday, August 14, 2006, 21:19:21 I'm revisiting an old classic, LA Confidential. More twists and turns than Lee Holmes could dream of. Good shit.
Title: Hostel Post by: lebowski on Tuesday, August 15, 2006, 15:52:52 of course my horse - this film was so bad that it was almost good.
i think QT was an executive producer, which, in this case, means that he took a bit of money to put his name to the film for promo. he did something similar with "hero" (jet li), which was bought up by miramax, stored on a shelve for ages while kill bill 1 + 2 were being flogged, then rush-released with QT's name in front of it (because he liked the action in it, apparently, but had nothing else to do with it) before "house of flying daggers" came out and stole most of it's thunder. I was about to post the same thing. Meh. Title: Hostel Post by: oxford_fan on Thursday, August 17, 2006, 11:25:58 hostel was great, although it did take me two watches to get the whole weird gore/self-depricating comedy combination. the film basically takes the piss out of itself.
and tarantino is the don, although as has been said he had nothing to do with the film apart from putting his name on some posters for some bucks. Title: Hostel Post by: Sade on Thursday, August 17, 2006, 15:24:40  Talking of films, I watched Green street earlier and cryed my eyes out. What a sad film. Really touched me!

I suprised myself because I've only ever cryed at one film and thats titanic, I'm usually a tough nut I am. The bit where that young boy was getting his head stamped on and died and at the end and when the main character died, crikey it really moved me :(
Title: Hostel Post by: Ralphy on Saturday, August 19, 2006, 14:07:57 Green Street is crap anyway.
Title: Hostel Post by: Sade on Saturday, August 19, 2006, 14:28:40 I did'nt think so. Thought it was good. Anything to do with football....I'm hooked.

Just finished reading Desperation, was proper quality. Just found out they made a film of it, will definitely have to see that! I've seen a film called cannibal holocaust, I don't think 6 million were killed but it did get quite messy. I didn't cry but I couldn't finish the meatballs I'd cooked for my tea. I think Pulp Fiction is quality and I liked Resevoir Dogs alot. Kill Bill was good, but I still haven't got round to watching part 2, so I couldn't have found it that brilliant.
Some other Tarantino films he's been 'associated' with have been truly aweful (Once Upon A Time In Mexico being one) and I hated Jackie Brown. Title: Hostel Post by: hansgruber on Monday, August 21, 2006, 23:00:33 Just watched Hostel. I thought it was brilliant. Best horror I've seen in ages.
Title: Hostel Post by: magicroundabout on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, 08:58:19 i still think it is a shockingly shit film
a decent horror film doesn't start off with the first 45 mins just being about tits and sex. Trauma last night had me cringing more than Hostle did. Title: Hostel Post by: hansgruber on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, 12:10:01 Quote Trauma last night had me cringing more than Hostle did Might give that a go as well then. The crunching etc of it was horrid. Title: Hostel Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, 12:28:09 Most horror films are shit these days. At least a lot of the older horror films were cheesy enough not to take too seriously or were actually good they did spook you a bit.
IT is my favourite horror film of all time. Title: Hostel Post by: magicroundabout on Tuesday, August 22, 2006, 12:31:49 'do ya wanna balloon??!!' Quality SiPi.
