I apologise for starting a new thread when there is already plenty posted but .......................................

I am sitting in The New Inn and get chatting to a guy on the next table who turns out to be a mate of the driver of the team bus (who evidently doubles as Petr Brezovan's interpreter) and deep in a text conversation with him.

Anyway it transpires that he was having a quiet drink in the hotel bar last night with Dennis and Co and guess who joins them ........................ yep THE GUVNOR !

Don't believe everything that is said in an interview though he may be saying that so we think he's on holiday when in fact hes having talks with dennis wise and other clubs who are interested in him.

Maybe chatting to Dennis and hanging with the team is so relaxing and fun, it counts as being on holiday?

Does that mean possibly Ince was watching the game saturday?

Well I doubt he was in Hartlepool for the shopping

I think Ince is the final piece of the jigsaw for us to be title contendors at this level.  Against Hartlepool at times it seemed as if our midfield were being overun.  Weston and Pook are both young and still need to learn.  A bit of experience in the middle will help us - Incey can provide that

He may of course still have a house in the area from his 'Boro days.

Nice to hear the rumours are (presumably) not just a load of crap.

I'm not getting my hopes up for Incey signing but it will be ace if he does.

Adver has a decision due on Monday with the player in talks with three other clubs.  One of the three clubs mentioned is Birmingham whose manager, Steve Bruce, mentioned in an interview with the local rag a couple of weeks back that he had now ruled out any move for the player.

The other club mentioned is West Brom but I think it’ll be a tough call for him to leave Wolves and head straight for their midland rivals, even with ex-team-mate Brian Robson in charge.  With any luck Southampton will pick up all three points when they play them at the weekend to cast a few doubts over their early season form and hopefully add another nail in their coffin.

Th fact that Ince's agent is still casting the old positive vibes in the press still looks encouraging.

I think it just has to be a case of fingers crossed from now.  A great result saturday could just help a bit as well.

I still think the opportunity for him to get into coaching is the key factor in this situation.

I would imagine that here, he would be able to have more of a say in what hes involved in/how things are run, whereas in higher clubs he may have to take more of a back seat with regards to decision making/coaching set ups etc.

Did they say which Monday?  I've been waiting for PHH to get back to me about a job since 1995, they said they would let me know on Thursday but in fairness they never said which one.  Not sure I'll take the job now though, we'll just have to wait and see.

im still VERY confident he is coming..no doubt the plane crash delayed things aswell
