Title: Mobile Phones Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, 16:29:14 Spud, I'd have to disagree. I was on Orange and was getting a strong signal where ever I went. I then moved to O2 and is now shit!
Magic, I don't think You can cancel your contract you just have to bear with it and continue paying the monthly line rental. If you have a good credit rating you can always get a second pay monthly contract... Title: Mobile Phones Post by: Dazzza on Wednesday, August 2, 2006, 17:21:47 You can normally terminate your contract but will usually have to pay the remainder of the line rental and a penalty, which was a month’s line rental when I cancelled mine a few years back.
Make sure they record the contract as settled on your credit report! Hopefully the networks will open up SMS over GPRS/3G eventually, which is a fraction of the cost and a lot quicker. As for 3G apparently (according to the gadget show) is really gonna kick off early next year with some new high tech broadband thing which will make 3G work 500x better. they are testing it all out on the Isle of white at the mo. It's HSDPA or 3.5G but there are no commercial handsets available just yet only a couple of network cards for laptops but they’re still faster than most standard broadband speeds. Hopefully I'll have the 3.5G beta RAZR handset from Hong Kong in a couple of months. Make sure you check that's record that as settled Magic! I had my credit rating screwed by Orange as they record late payments for 12 months after it was paid. If you are on Vodafone you can do £12 per month if you are lucky. Just ask for Businesstime as your usage is going down. that would only be £72

I'm currently on Vodafone pay as you go where i buy a £20 text pack once a month which gives me 675 texts. What pay monthly deal could i get with Vodafone where i still get over 500 texts a month? Some inclusive minutes are needed now cos i've started ringing peoping alot more. |
