Me and my mate agreed that Rodrigo shoud sign just so we can wear Curly Wigs to the games this season.

 I like the idea of having a cult Uruguayan,  and wont be unhappy if we sign him up.....just it would be better if he could play a bit.

Care to elaborate? Or does that sum it up?

 I was hoping for at least a certain level of competence....the positive is that he must be much better than what he showed.

brezovan can't speak a word of english, should be better once he's learnt how to scream stuff that makes sense.

i still like brownlie, missed a bit of a sitter today but i believe he's the sort of player who will stick the ball in the back of the net more times than not.

rodrigo didn't impress but i do like his hair.

Brownlie - 6 month deal
monkey - seemed to almost be playing as a 3rd striker at times. was ok i thought, but would hope for more.
Rodrigo - As much as I'd like us to sign someone who looks like lionel messi, his best talent seems to be tackling back, which isnt great for a left winger. I'd let him go.
Brezovan- did what he needed to do competantly i thought. faultless for both goals

i was stood behind the goal and all i heard him shout was gibberish, sorry, slovakian.

Big Pete - nothing to worry me as yet, so must be a good thing. Looks the part

Brezovan - not enough to do to rate him
Monkhouse- fairly anonymous, disappointing
Onibuje - very impressed, runs well with it and strong, good control for a big man, unlucky not to score. Will frighten defenders if he can keep it up
Weston -  excellent first half , accurate passing and skills, but less effective second half, perhaps because he went on the wing
Rodrigo-  a bit lightweight going forward, no better than what we have
Brownlie - seems a typical poacher type, runs in to good positions well and often seems likely to score or threaten close to goal. Worth a contract IMO.
Aaron Brown - for me a new player now and he is forgiven as long as he plays as well as he did against the boos and wanker shouts today, although he deserved it. He is needed to help us towards promotion in my view.

Rotherham fans have said Monkhouse is awful i hope thats not true. he has barely set the world on fire since he joined though

i agree rich he didnt look brilliant today.hopefully he will improve or div 2 might just be his level..a player who did impress me was jack smith he isnt new i know but he is to me.thought weston looked a very good player aswell

Jack Smith sounds better now he is being played on the right. hopefully it will continue. i do like the sound of Weston though! i think he could turn out to be a great signing

Monkhouse hasnt played alot of football recently, I didnt see him play today but in previous games it looks to me like he is easing himself in a bit and still has a few gear changes in him yet

i heard Brezovan say keepers twice today! well it was more like hepperzz but im sure the players will understand it!

I must assume you were sitting towards the Stratton Bank end of the ground. :shock:  From where I was sitting I thought Monkhouse looked pretty good throughout the first half when town were attacking the town end.

He was working well with Lee Peacock. Several times Peacock won the ball and was forced backwards only to have the pressure taken off him by Monkey continuing the line of the initial run and taking the defender with him. This then gave Peacock time to work openings or make telling passes. He also provided loads of support from the midfield and was almost operating as a third striker at times.

At one point he switched to the right side for about five minutes (swapping with Weston I think, but I might be wrong) and caused all sorts of problems when the Palace defense failed to notice he'd switched. There were all sorts of other examples of good play and I can only assume you just didn't see them because you were too far away.

The only players I found myself worrying about were Holgate and Pook who still look too lightweight, (and Pook really must work on the timing of his tackles if he wants to avoid red cards this season!).

in holgates defence he is never a cm .i think if he is to ever make it his best position would be off the strikers

he played that role at Chesterfield away (off the front two) we were 1-0 down at the time and not really in the game, turned us around....won us a penatly which Bouazza scored to make it 1-1 and we were all over them thereafter....really impressed with him that night....then he got dropped  :?

Yes perhaps I missed some of his good play as I sit nearer Stratton Bank, good points. I am worried more about Nicho, he looks weak for a CB, and I rate him below Ifil, CCP, Williams though I haven't seen him yet, and even Gurney at CB.

weston - at last we have an attacking midfielder who wants to run at people! looks like an exciting prospect! probably our best player in ibiza. faded a bit yesterday after being put on the right. expect him to be in the starting XI come hartlepool.

onibuje - looked ok, held up the ball well, good touch & quick. could be a bargain

monkhouse - looked ok in the first half but faded after that. didn't play much in ibiza so maybe lacking match fitness (& peacock also)

brezovan - has looked good so far, could be the find of the season. throwing, catching & positioning all seemed good. will hopefully get better after he's settled in the country & learned the language.

rodrigo - had a bit of a mare yesterday but looked good in ibiza. would be worth signing to provide competition for monkhouse (brown can fuck off)

brownlie - not sure about him. drifts in & out of the game quite a lot but if he scores goals who cares. might be worth a gamble on a 6 month contract?

vincent - has looked good & strong & is very vocal. experience will help the likes of ifil, CCP, nicholas etc.

for me its gotta be fola and weston, weston looks like a great prospect, good ball control, runs at people. good stuff.

fola - im surprised, this guy is much better than i thought he would be. pacey, fairly skillful, strong, tall puts himself about. should be given a 1year deal imo.

brownlie has a decent shot on him, worth a 1year i think.
