Have you seen our 'wikipedia' entry?

It's quite good:

That's rather nice who updates that?

http://www.swindon-town-fc.co.uk/

Is looking very nice at the moment I just wish they would sort that old school forum out.  :o

There seems to be more on it every time I look. Think it was me who added this wonderful forum on the external links bit at the bottem several months ago, although I was pissed at the time and so...  it might have already been there / It got removed cos I did it wrong / I've made up the memory in my head.

Do have a vague memory of trying to work out how to spell 'lively' so it probably was me.

Still wouldn't consider them rivals!

It's Shrewsbury I'd consider main rivals next season.

hereford can't be our rivals, they don't even have a wikipedia page, unless someones just messed up the link.

Try clicking on phil king in the former players bit, I never new he was such an accomplished musician.

There doesn't appear to be anything about Jimmy Davis on there. Anyone wanna put together a couple of words about him?

'kin ell! Sam Allen was manager for 1,127 games   - That's some going. There should be a statue of him at the ground (if there isn't one already)

If Kingy had been around that long I would have slashed my wrists!

Be careful what you believe on Wikipedia. It's ok for general stuff but some of the items that purport to be academic are nothing but bollocks. That's the trouble when you allow absolutely anybody to put anything they want on there and there's nobody to reveiw it professionally.

I remember reading about it in The Times and I'd already been using the website for years.

Under the 10 things they research on wikipedia only a few were factually correct.

It's still great entertainment though and gives you ideas for further research

That's how I look at it as well. At least it gives you a starting point.

What was even more frightening was the fact that the Times Survey you refer to found Wikipedia to be no less accurate than Encyclopaedia Britannica. Just goes to show that if you want the fact about anything you need to get as close to the source as possible.

If you want the latest on Nuclear Physics, go to the latest research papers. If you want the latest on Swindon Town transfers, ask Dennis Wise!

What source do we go to if we want to know where Brown is going? Daddies or HP?

Have to admit to be being a bit dim with all things PC related, so excuse my daftness, but do they actually employ people to sit and sign up to forums and post links etc, and does anyone purchase anything whatsoever from such spam?

did you know yeovil that no journalists have dennis wises number.thats why we dont here alot about transfers most top managers dont give out there number but you will find that in the lower leagues they give there number to the journalists, hence the reason why when andy king was here he would just casually mention during a phone call who he wanted to sign..there you go some useless info for you..im bored

the newst member looks likely to be spam, vafpug.  Only noticed because we had one join the L&P forum today as well.

There is a slim chance it's a real person, but I'd guess not.  They always seem to leave their loaction as USA.

Whits spotted a spybot thing on here recently, they register on forums and post spam (check the dodgy sig) so he banned it. I assume this is what Rob was referring to aswell?!

As a mod, I thought you'd have been trained at Whitster Towers in case of this type of invasion.

Maybe new users should be made to enter the forum with their hand luggage in clear plastic bags and take a swig of there own piss.

Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it.  Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks?
