Having now got a new pc with a dvd burner included i was wondering which are the best DVD's to use or doesn't it really matter?

sorry i meant which are the best to use for burning films etc?

i've ordered 25 of both just to make sure.

I think the writing process is supposed to be better in the + format but you won't notice the difference.

It's basically like the Betamax v VHS thing but with DVDs.

I thought more DVD players could read -R but I may have made that up. One thing I do know is that having your youngest smear yoghurt all over the top of the DVD player severely reduces its capacity to read anything.

No that's right Paul, on both accounts.

But I'm guessing magic has checked that out otherwise he wouldn't have bothered with getting both (or maybe he's a muppet)  :o  :wink:

yeah i checked it out. thats why i got 25 of each. Mainly with the + is you can burn layers but with the - you can't. so i read.

also my dvd player plays almost anything you put in it so i should be ok.
my first films to burn will Superman Returns (clip looks excellent) and Ice Age 2. 8)

It may be stating the obvious, but to record dual layer  you need to buy (more expensive) dual layer DVDs.

After a quick check your right Batch, .
I doubt i'lll ever need to burn anything big enough for duel layer dvds.
