Title: 1 Year contracts
Post by: STFC Bart on Wednesday, July 5, 2006, 17:51:14
Why do we only offer 1 year?

Hopfully it is for the reason that we are only looking at spending one year in L2. If not i fear that we will not be competing with other clubs in our division who appear to be offering more security

devlin mentioned that wise looks at each player individually to see what length of contract would be offered

Andy Monkhouse- Known to be injury prone, why offer a player a longer deal if he may be injured.
Ady Williams- Age more than anything.
Curtis Weston- Young, neds to impress.
Jamie Vincent- Also heard that hes had a few injuries.

If we were to sign a player for a bit of money or a player that has proven quality with no known injury problems im sure we would offer longer contracts.
