Might as well had King in charge.
Once again its a Man Utd scummer thats cost us and I hope Rooney gets some serious shit at every ground he goes to next season.
And I really fucking hate that Ronaldo.

Charragers penalty was fine, but the goalie wasn't ready  WTF is that all about, the goal goes in but it's not allowed. It's mind games.

I don't think that Rooney did anything wrong. It didn't look like a stamp to me...

I think that football could really learn from rugby in situations like that anyway. If someone's on the floor being an idiot, it should be your right to give them to a bit of a shoe-ing

Both teams were shit, but for the sake of the world cup, the better team went through.

England played negative football when it came to playing the better teams.

Portugal were technically superior, but were shit upfront.

Not for the push, but for the bloody stamping in the groin of the player on the floor right under the nose of the ref. Rooneys temperment will be the one thing stopping him from being a great player.

I can't believe people are giving Rooney shit.

Ronaldo is a 1st class wanker, devious, cheating scum.  If anyone gets shit at United it should be him.

Playing Rooney up front on his own was a ludicris decision to make and his frustration because of that unfortunately showed today.  He shouldn't have lashed out but now I wish he had stamped on him ten times harder after watching those cheating scum of an excuse for a Portugese football team.

I'm off to get shit faced.

Fucking gutting, thought we player well with ten men and probably our best performance so far against a very good side and deserved to win. Shit at penalties though. Ref was a cunt, not just the sending off but all through the game so many fouls given against us for absolutely nothing.

Bollocks.

I was so sure we'd win this one, possibly the whole thing. Until Rooney got sent off after gay boy stuck his nose in.

Never mind, real football returns next month, sooner for the preseason friendlies.

cheating ronaldo, diving, shouldn't have been sent off...loads of excuses. End of the day though, we are still crap at taking penalties, we just don't have the bottle for it. in this tournament we have shown we aren't that good. We had the passion in this match though which was great to see and we deserved to go through.

we played better with 10 men, after rooney stupidly got himself sent off..

Only after Rooney went did we seem to have any urgency about us....

I detest Ronaldo. I hope Rooney gives him a right hander on their first day back in training.

Having said that, he had to go. He trod on the bloke's bollocks - That has to be against the rules I would have thought

Hargreaves was EXCELLENT - I've been sticking up for him for ages so fair play to me!

The penalties were pathetic. If the opposition misses twice you should be quids in. I would get Matt Le Tissier in before the next tournament to give them specialist coaching (not that they should need it but they obviously do)

Oh well, it's all over and it was all a big fuss over nothing really wasn't it?

Oh yes, and good f****** riddance to Sven Boring Eriksson!

Fuking blast them for fuck sake. why did lampard take one?  hes been having a shocker of a tournament, and couldnt hit a barn door with a banjo. he shouldn't of been so selfish, and let someone else take one.

if sven had any bollocks, he'd of dropped beckahm and/or lampard and we would have won today. As it was, he is blinded by their repuatations, and we go out. my only fear is that we've got rid of a dull, passionless swede, and replaced him with what? A dull passionless englishmen. i have a huge fear, that mclaren may turn out to be a poorer version of erikson, and very soon, we may not even be qualifying for tournaments.

Lennon hasn't underperformed, our player of the tournament I think even though he only played for an hour and a bit. Hopefully he will get longer in the future.

I don't think this shows we aren't that good, we lost on penalties in the quarter finals to one of the best teams in it, despite outplaying them with 10 men.

I was very very gutted last night, but going out and having lots of booze made me feel better..................until that song 'Altogether' now came on in the bar :(  :(  :(

I felt we played very well, we gave them a bloody good game even with 10 men. After last nights performance and determination I felt we could go all the way after 90 mins, but obviously it just was not meant to be. All I can say is THEIR(portugal) ALL CHEATING DIVING DICKHEADS AND I BLOODY HATE HATE DOUBLE HATE LOOOOOOOTHE CHRISTIANO PONCING BAMBI LEGS RONALDO.I WANT TO BITE HIM VERY PAINFULLY.

The english are gentlemen really, we rarely dive and role about on the floor like we are half dead, we take defeat gracefully and we've showed good sportsmanship unlike those bloody argies.

Anyway I do hope that portugal have to go into penaltys in their next game and I do hope Ronaldo misses the crucial one that he needs to score because I want to see him cry again.

:? Damn I thought I'd got over it.........

For now though, its back to Our beloved Swindon town Fc.
S-W-I-N-D-O-N!

I think that Hargreaves is one of the only players who can come out of this fiasco with his head held high. Lampard,Gerrard,Beckham and co were all shockingly poor. Dont blame Ronaldo for the mess that we are in , we were shit from the first game and never got any better .Svenn fucked this up for England , this is 5 years worth of coaching from the boring twat . Our only hope is that McClaren leaves the tactics and coaching to Venables .

Sven should have gone 2 years ago - is plain he didn't know what to do.  Wherever he goes next, Beckham will follow and possibly others...
