Title: Forest Green Post by: pumbaa on Friday, June 30, 2006, 15:23:48 * BUMP *
Are you lot aware that the cost for this friendly is £15? IMHO, thats a tad steep for a Conference vs L2 friendly. My father-in-law, who I'm currently staying with while back in blighty, is doing some work on the ground. Looks all right for conference level, but hopefully this will be our one and only visit. He reckons that 2000 Swindon fans are going. Errrrr BOLLOX was my reaction, especially at that price. Title: Forest Green Post by: OOH! SHAUN TAYLOR on Friday, June 30, 2006, 16:03:42 £15 is taking the piss. I hope no one turns up.
Title: Forest Green Post by: Arriba on Friday, June 30, 2006, 16:07:36 i wont be going, fucking rip off for a nothing game!
Title: Forest Green Post by: Luci on Friday, June 30, 2006, 16:08:13 Forest Green £15
Palace on the day maybe, but Forest Gang Green Rovers  far too high. :old: Title: Forest Green Post by: my-velocity on Friday, June 30, 2006, 17:10:45 Havent they just got a newish stadium or am i thinking of S Marines.
Title: Forest Green Post by: reeves4england on Friday, June 30, 2006, 21:20:55 Who cares?! £15 is still a rip off!

My father in law is doing some work up there. They are deluding themselves if they think 2000 Swindon fans are going to pitch up at 15 quid a throw. Title: Forest Green Post by: stfc11 on Friday, June 30, 2006, 21:37:43 i don't think it's £15 their normal matches at £13 they can't charge us £15 can they?!
Title: Forest Green Post by: yeo on Friday, June 30, 2006, 22:01:35 Im not going to any friendlies because i really cant be arsed 8)
Title: Forest Green Post by: Amir on Friday, June 30, 2006, 22:41:15 Bollocks to that then. I was severely put off friendlies after watching a 5-1 drubbing at Wycombe a few years back. I'll probably make it to one of the home games.
Title: Forest Green Post by: pauld on Saturday, July 1, 2006, 00:07:01 Best thing about FGR's ground (last time I was there which was a year or so ago) is the builder's Portakabin with a sign on the door proudly announcing "Player's Lounge". Made me smile anyway. Are you sure they don't mean 200?

Where did you see that it cost £15? The only prices I can find are on a the Forest Green website and they are far more reasonable. http://www.forest-green.brewersnet.com/forum69/index.php?showtopic=2270 Title: Forest Green Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, July 4, 2006, 19:17:52 We're all set to be the first game in their new stadium...
http://www.forest-green.brewersnet.com/newstadiumpics7.html Looks quite tidy for a conference side, I'd quite like a go in the tanning booth. |
