Title: Franchise new stadium Post by: Kinky Tom on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, 17:11:48 It certainly doesn't look ready from the A5 as I pass it on my way to work, although to be fair it does actually look like it will be a decent ground from the outside.
Problem with it is that it's no-where near a pub in walking distance, and traffic is going to be a right bitch as it's next door to Ikea and Asda and is just off a large roundabout. However I suppose crowds of 7000ish should be fairly managable. Nobody is going to migrate to MK just for the football.... There's potential in Milton Keynes to fill that ground if they get a bit of success...it was probably wondered why Reading needed a ground that big. If they get relegated to the Conference and work their way back up, then they might be acepted by the proper football community. |
