it will be a flat pitch so we have to bat first and make a huge score for sri lanka to chase.

78-1,Harmy got the wicket.
Not much of a surprise,he does seem to be our only real threat.I'd guess its a good wicket though, usually are at the Oval.

I know one man doesn't make a team and that, but we are missing Flintoff and the rest who are injured, etc.

I saw Bobby playing the other week he was quite expensive, and with the World cup coming up i guess the selectors are looking to the younger players.
With Hoggy i think he's just not seen as a odi bowler,he can go for a lot of runs and isn't the best batsman in the world [bless him]so i suppose they see Plunkett as the better bet.

Being a relative newcomer to the sport of willow and ball, can someone explain what a power play is in One Day cricket?

Basically it is the part of the game ,normally the first 10-15 overs when our top order batsmen get out without adding to the scorecard.

No problem :)
I still don't know if it makes that much difference to the game though, most of the time the power plays are all taken in the first 20 overs.
KP is out,we aren't going to win :(
