NMH P.S. The ESPN2 commentators here say that the Ecuador vs Germany game will be a battle as noone wants to play England in the next round. Committing plenty forward but leaving themselves open to a half decent attack carving them up at times. If you watch that game we had less possession and chances but Germany just left it so open for us to attack them when we had the chance.
Holland looked scared shitless of anyone with pace today as well, and dropped into a team of 3 forwards and 7 defenders in the second half to compensate at times. And the Germans are gunna feel the full force of our superior midfield! Even a slight improvement in scoring ratio would see a dramatic change. Germany are the only team to have created more at that point (26 against Poland, from which they scored 1). |
