More on Ricki Lambert and his on/off move to Swindon Town ... His advisor contacted me today and said he's desperate for the Swindon move to happen but Rochdale plan to keep him until his contract expires. He's thinking of handing in a formal transfer request to get things moving a bit quicker as he's become a bit annoyed with it all. Dennis Wise left a big impression on him when they met in Dubai for talks. Expect further news in the coming days i reckon it's a swindon fan posting this  Title: lambert(again) Post by: kaufman on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, 13:34:08 http://www.rochdaleafc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/rumour_mill/0,,10441~839420,00.html

The 24-year-old striker, who joined from Stockport in February last year, hit 22 goals last season and has been linked with newly-relegated Swindon. But Lambert insists he is going nowhere and there is no foundation to the speculation. He told the club's website: "I heard about the Swindon thing after returning from my holiday. I was asked by some of the lads if it's true or not. "I haven't heard from anyone at Swindon or any other club for that matter. I am a Rochdale player and I will be next season and hopefully a bit longer. "(Manager) Steve Parkin wants me to talk about extending my current deal which I'm more than happy to do. I've agreed to speak to the gaffer when we start back at the end of June. I'm hopeful we can sort something out." http://www.sportinglife.com/football/nationwide3/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer_league_1_and_2/06/06/14/manual_150103.html Title: lambert(again) Post by: larwood on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, 18:44:09 He's coming to us then

the shite rumour site last one im putting on here Rochdale are to complete the signing of a new striker early next week, leaving the door open for Rickie Lambert to join Swindon Town in a deal worth up to £250.000. Title: lambert(again) Post by: Tails on Saturday, July 8, 2006, 11:37:39 He sounds good, that new striker fella.
Going by the signings we've made already and from what I've heard from Wise & Co, I seriously doubt we'd push the boat to sign anyone. If we were ever likely to sign him we would have already. Title: lambert(again) Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Saturday, July 8, 2006, 12:04:11 haha bollocks if its from that site but we do need a another striker
