You never know how a change of club/system will suit a player but £10m looks like too much to me. £14m is bloody ridiculous (unless he fit's their system perfectly and plays like a god for the next 8 years).

It does cost more for English players, and thats why a lot of clubs look abroad. For example, is Andy Johnson worth over £8 million?

You get overpriced players who're English and overpriced players who aren't English but I don't think foreign players tend to be any better value and English players definitely don't cost 2 or 3 times as much. Some foreign players just don't adapt to the English game (Diego Forlan's a well-known example) and if they're not top quality players then it's even harder but if they've played in England for most of their career then their proven and their nationality wouldn't make any difference to their price.
