Post by: Luci on Friday, June 9, 2006, 08:05:28
Just to let you all know, Tescos have a great deal on lager at the moment, 2 packs of 20 cans of either Fosters/Stella or Carlsberg for £16.

Bargain for 40 cans!  :beers:

The advantage of having a wife who works in Asda will be used today as we use their current beer deal and get an extra 10% off.  Hmm, Beeeeer

Same as, my mrs works in Tesco so we get 10% off and clubcard points as well. Just like having little blue beer vouchers.

40cans of stella for £16 would be the greatest deal of all time. I think it may be bottles

Stella is better from a bottle anyway.

I agree but is it stubby bottles or proper ones?

Stubbys arent really worth a wank.

Just had my wife phone me with the details of the beer promotion at Asda:

Any 3 for £22:

20 bottles of Kronie (300ml)
20 bottles of Stella (284ml)
20 Cans of Fosters (440ml)
20 Cans of Carlsberg (440ml)

The Asda offer for Stella in cans in 2 x 15 cans for £19.66 (so not the £16 offer, which seems to have vanished today).

My dad picked up 48 carlings, 12 stella's and 12 guiness' today.

Unbeknown to me because I was out exploiting Sainsbury's offer of 2 x 20 bottles of Bud for 15 quid.

Could be heavy.

I got the 40 bottles of stella for £16 today from tesco, they are half way between stubbys and the 330ml ones, 284ml.

Not a bad deal.

Carslberg is rank. If Carlsberg would be so good at doing all this other stuff then why does their beer taste like piss. Carslberg export is a bit better.

I think the deal is either

40 cans of fosters for £16
36 cans of carlsberg for £16
or 40 bottles of stella for £16

I don't like fosters much so even though that's easily the best value I had to go for the stella.

20 cans of stella is £12.99.

Fosters, Carlsberg and Carling is all rank IMHO. I'll piss in a pint glass and you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Mind you, the 'beer' made and sold in America brings a new definition to rank. I used to quite like Budweiser, but here its just awful. The worst of a bad bunch is Coors Light, which some cheap cunt brought to my house and left it (I've not invited him back).

Thank the lord for micro brews and import Guinness
