I think roberts is a fantastic player when he's fit, he's got loads of skill and controls the ball bootifully. I would love to see a 'new him' next season, match fit and showing everyone that he's back. I'd be over the moon for him.

Have to agree here. An on-form Roberts is a joy to watch. Such a shame it hasn't happened this season. Mind, I'd wager he's as desperate to get fit and get going again as we are to see him back and on form.

Next season he'll have to fight for his place in the 1st team as i don't really see Wise relying on him to be our top goal scorer. He can be good as a winger, so maybe next season he'll be in that position.

When we signed him from Bristol City they obviously knew he had a drink problem and wasn't that good of a footballer and we were the mugs who brought him, but he can play well only if he just focuses on his football.

i think playing him on the wing is the problem, he doesnt want to play there and u can tell by his performances he doesnt look intrested, u have to give him 5-10 games up front with Peacock and see if they can do the business

but that might be then 5-10 losses. I want a decent striker with peacock who can score goals at this level ffs. Don't gamble on Roberts, we don't want to be in the conference.

I actually agree with Reg, Bristol city fans did warn us what he would be like. I think its really positive that he is getting alot of support from Swindon fans, however he will never be a proven goal scorer and i think we should get rid.

We need Peacock and a new signing up front next season.

Why is the emphasis on getting a quality strike partner for Peacock?
As yet Peacock has not proven himself as a goal scorer in a town shirt. If you ask me, he has as much to prove next season as Roberts. I hope they both come good as I think they could prove to be a deadly force if both fit and commited.

Roberts isn't a striker who'll score 20. He's a striker who'll get 5-10 goals tops.

I think 10 is the minimum we will get providing they both play regularly. I can see Peacock scoring around 8 and Roberts could easily chip in with 4 or 5 if playing on the wing, maybe more if he is a striker

Surely its feasable...how many people this time last year would have said Fallon would score close to 15 in half a season?

Last time Lee Peacock played at this level he hit 19 for Mansfield. Then the following season he hit 7 goals before Man City bought him in October. Then at Bristol City in the old division two he hit 15, 17, 15 & 16

I dont think Peacock and Roberts will be fit most of the time .. hence my statement

Fair comment that Peacocks record had been good up to last season .. but I remain unconvinced so far thats he a natural goalscorer .. i do honestly hope im proved wrong .. I do admire his work rate and commitment ..

But as for Roberts .. thats nearly 3 years since he hit 17 .. he wont get 20 no way .. Hence the need for a proven striker .. even if Peacock gets 15 or 20 it wont be enough to help us up

Im not being deliberately negative as Im delighted about Dennis Wise being manager .. Im just worried he doesnt realise how bad things really are at the club

As for my mate Rhys chasin the Blackpool dream .. he really didnt have a choice ... and Blackpool are going places ...

I am optimistic about Wises's ability to get the most out of players, but if they don't shape up he will be ruthless IMO.

He knows that Peacock when fit can link up play and score a few, and Roberts at his best is brilliant for this level of football. The "bet" is a challenge which I am looking forward to. If this all falls flat, I am sure Wise will have other options up his sleeve. We would all like a proven goalscorer signed, but remember the two midgets last season.

There is a lot for Wise to learn, and he has done very well so far IMO.

Didnt have a choice?, his precious home Town Club that he always harped on about, he might have been offered a contract not as good as his last one but the option was still there especially seeing as his family were settled here.

The only places Blackpool are going....is other League One grounds.
