:Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: He deserved the kick he got in the first clip, and I'm glad he didn't get a foul in the 2nd. knobber, belongs in a circus, opposing fans should throw fish and massive inflatable balls at him.

Seen those clips before, all he does is one trick and then falls over. Amazing.

He's no Theo Walcott is he.

That's just a rumour and Wigan have offered about £8.5m for Andy Johnson, he's not that great.

No I've never seen him play, he's probably never even played in Britain.

All I meant anyway was he only does one trick in that video, he may turn out to be a great player but the video isn't that impressive.

The General was yapping on about him the other day, saying they were going to sign him and that was his trick.  Looks about as camp as Ronaldo and you can't have two of them in the same team, one is too many.  Shit trick and going on the evidence it doesn't even work.

but english players are always more expensive, more or less anyone near our national squad is £10m at least so not really a fair comparison

it'd be a sad sad day if owen hargreaves ever got bought for £10million

I'm not sure that English players really tend to be more expensive. Rooney was a total bargain at just £20m, Owen to Real Madrid for £8m was similarily cheap and if Gerrard had moved last year it would've been for around £30m which seems very cheap for one of the world's best midfielders

There's been plenty of overpriced foreign players, eg. £28m for Veron and Robinho who has done nothing to justify his price of nearly £20m yet.

There is the odd one though, Heskey was never worth £15m, Wright-Phillips was overpriced and maybe Andy Johnson soon.

You could certainly argue that Drogba and Essien were overpriced but if Chelsea bid for a player that instantly puts their value up.

Rooney was nearer £28m wasnt it?? Anelka moved to Arsenal the same sort of age as Rooney and cost 500k

The Rooney fee was complex with only about £11m initially and then more a year later and then more if Man United won the champions league or premiership, the total fee will probably end up at around £25m but that is very cheap.

Anelka isn't in the same class as Rooney, Real Madrid paid £22m for him which was ridiculously overpriced.
