good decision i think, you can't really fault his record since he's been there. all the other prem managers didn't want it to get it because he's supposedly underqualified but i can't see how it matters. Title: roeder confirmed Post by: FlashGordon on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 17:06:42 Thought it was harsh sayin he couldnt get the job because of not having his pro liscence...he enrolled on the course bt then got a tumour?! Its not as if he was never intending to get the qualification - somethings in life are bit more important, i.e his health?!
Title: roeder confirmed Post by: DV on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 17:13:10 plus, you cant teach good management.
The whole badge system is fucked up...I can understand it from the coaching side....but for a manager.... Title: roeder confirmed Post by: oxford_fan on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 17:22:12 added to that the thing they keep on going on about is a course, not a test, so its just a matter of him turning up for a couple of weeks and getting the certificate at the end of it.
perhaps they just don't like him!? I read somewhere that its £8k for the UEFA pro "A licence" course. I might whackit on teh credit card and start applying for premiership jobs :D Title: roeder confirmed Post by: DV on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 19:52:38 Quote from: "Piemonte" Quote from: "oxford_fan" added to that the thing they keep on going on about is a course, not a test, so its just a matter of him turning up for a couple of weeks and getting the certificate at the end of it. Title: roeder confirmed Post by: oxford_fan on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 20:41:35 i doubt its ex-pro's only, thats harsh if it is.
probably just have to have the badge down from it. WAFA B i'd imagine Title: roeder confirmed Post by: Batch on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 22:47:10 My view: Newcastle have fucked up appointing him. Perhaps he is a stop gap until Shearer is pro-badged up...
Title: roeder confirmed Post by: flammableBen on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 22:48:35 It seems like a 'nobody else about' appointment to me.
Title: roeder confirmed Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Tuesday, May 16, 2006, 23:01:55 Well I think it's a disgrace, he should at least have a blue peter badge or a 10m swimming badge if he wants to manage a premiership club surely.
