Title: No Match Day thread? Here It Is Then: Town Vs Huddersfield
Post by: PHIL!!!! on Saturday, May 6, 2006, 11:04:44
Hopefully we will see a few more of the younger players play some part today.
For me, i'd like to see Stroud, Jutskiwitz and Lapham play some part in the game.

Hopefully Iffy sticks to the usual 4-4-2, with Stroud starting left wing and Brown left back? Also start Jutskiwitz up front with Cureton. Lapham could always come on in the second half.

Brown at left-back? We might as well roll over now!  But yeah, I expect to see some of the younger players given a go today, so maybe it'll be a decent match!

Well Brown's played wing back a couple of times and seemed to do alright. Surely a better option than Nicholas, though.

Hopefully the younger players will show a bit more passion and we may see a changed squad today. Most of our young players e.g. Stroud, Jutskiwitz, Lapham and even Wells are strong players who have a strong case of being in the squad next year. Let's just hope so.

Great....
Why are Stroud and Cureton on the bench!?!?!
I can understand why Diagouraga is, as he may not be here next year, but if thats the case, why play McPhee?

I say we play Cureton and see if he can have storming last match and see how well he plays. Also play Diagourage as well and everyone at the game give him a big cheer because he might not be at Swindon next season. I hope Swindon can give Huddersfield a run for their money, and get a win in the last match of the season and in league 1.
And also come on Leyton Orient, they could relegate Oxford

Anyone else listening or trying to listen via STFC World.

Yet again you can't hear a bloody thing, such a pile of crap the people who run it are. Hope it comes on before 3pm.

Unfortunately I can't get that here. We get 3 Counties Radio covering Luton etc!

And you can't listen via the web as they switch it off, so listen via STFC World when it works.

Still not on yet, so any updates when it kicks off in a few mins would be gratefully received.

1656: What must surely be the last goal of the day comes in the biggest game of the day and it goes to Leyton Orient. Lee Steele's goal confirms Orient's place in the automatic promotion places and condems Oxford to relegation from the Football League.

1655: Grimsby's fans cannot believe their eyes. With the last kick of the game Northampton equalise through Ryan Gilligan. It means the Mariners will miss out on promotion and will have to make do with the play-offs.

It's more exciting in League II.
