Title: Give O'Hanlon and Evans two weeks to sign Post by: Reeves for King on Wednesday, May 3, 2006, 20:53:53 In my opinion that should be the limit when their contract offers run to; if they haven't signed by then start looking for new players. We missed out last season on potential new signings by offering contracts to too many players who were never going to sign, whilst waiting and hoping they would.
Sean and Rhys have had ample time to assess their contract offers. If they are not going to sign the club needs to make a decision about it and get rid of them and start looking of rplayers before other clubs get them. We are not in a poistion to be fucked about. What ever you do they're going to always have a sniff at anything drifting by and as Don put is so well there will always be an odd tickle or two from agents. If they're commited to staying then give them a bit of time to negotiate but if they're in talks elsewhere then get a straight yes or no if not it should be goodbye. |
