Saw on TV yesterday the interesting fact that when Accrington lost league status they were replaced by Oxford. Hopefully roles will be reversed this time around.

I think Rushden will go, and think someone like Barnet may fall in to the bottom two, it's so close down there there's quite a few teams who could suddenly find themselves in the conference next season.

i'd cry for days if it happens. god knows how i'd find any motivation to revise for my exams, i'm grumpy for a week whenever we lose let alone lose our league status.

its going to be close, i'm just praying we can beat wrexham and torquay don't win more than one of their remaining matches.

i'm torn.

i'd love to see them switch leagues with accrington stanley, for both poetic justice and because i'd love to rip it out of oxford fans at college. however playing them twice next season is one of the only things that would cushion the blow of relegation for me.

Depends on my whereabouts. If I end up moving to Luxemburg then obviously I won't be getting a season ticket at Hearts so will probably make an effort to get to more Swindon games (that sounds a bit stupid now I am further away) and will definately try to get myself to both derbies if Pox stay up.

My gut feeling is that they'll stay up. I just think there are always so many twists and turns in this scenario that they might get lucky. It's going to be some unlucky team like Barnet instead.

Swindon fans who want to see Oxford in the Conference could not have picked a harder opposition. Orient MUST win too... Nobody wants the play-offs and a former Swindon Town player (who was at the club long enough to form a hatred for them) is in line to nail the coffin.

I think I'd be happier to see them doomed. But I don't fear the derby if it does happen next season.

When I saw that Oxford were on 49 and how many teams above them are on 51 I thought you actually had an excellent chance of staying up. i.e you win and one of those teams is bound to lose.

It's winnable though. City thought they would roll us over but we could easily have nabbed all 3 points. Anything can happen in football and I for one would rather play against Oxford than watch them disappear.
