Title: The bloke that ran on the pitch
Post by: Sade on Saturday, April 22, 2006, 17:58:27
Did he come from the townend?

I think he did it because he actually wants to get banned so he does not have to watch league 2 football next season.

Felt a bit sorry for rhys to be honest. He did'nt really have a good game today, and there were some right fuckers in the arkells that kept slating him. We could be in a much worse situation if it was not for him. He's been quality recently.

he did come from the town end. do we pay for the stewards? they've probably cost us a fine.

i understand the blokes frustration to be fair. credit to him.

Exactly what I thought.  He just wanted to take his top off and make wanker signs at the Brentford fans.  Some old boys and dears clapping him in the North Stand which amused me :D

Bollocks, anyone who enters the playing field costs us a fine, the stewards were wank, true, but we'd have been fined anyway.
What sort of passion is it to cost your football club a fine? There are ways to protest, running on the pitch is not one of them.

:Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: (brilliant) ... because it would have been unfair to Nicho for one bad game when Ifil has had so many and got away with it???

Its called humour,  and irony, because Nicho had a mare.

The "brilliant" was  an appreciation of your witty comment btw.

i tried waiting outside the players tunnel after the Franchise game, we got told to leave by the stewards.

i waited outside the players entrance after the Franchise game, decided to go home and watch dr who instead - regardless, only carson, peacock and devlin appeared.

what else is there to do?

i'm not saying that what he did was a good idea, far from it, but frankly i've felt tempted to go on the pitch and give some of the players/management a piece of my mind so i can't blame him for it.

Running on the pitch is, was and always will be brilliant. Fact.

The whole 'economic support' of your club thing is not one I am particularly interested in. So slate me.

Ifil hasn't played for a month, for fucks sake.

Just accept that Nicholas played like a spastic for once.

I saw him go. The fookin red coat steward stood and watched him climb over the railings. They didn't get onto the pitch until he was nearly at the half way line.

He did look a bit "shit I'm on the pitch, what do I do?" before chucking his shirt and goading the Bretnford fans.

Fair play to him.

More people should have ran on after that shower of shite though.

If he'd run on and had ago at the players fair enough  ,but having ago at the Brentford fans made him look a prat.Idiot.At least the lucky sod will be banned for next season though.

My personally thoughts are, yes it was slightly funny but theres no fucking need for it and he embarrassed himself and our fans. You don't just go running on the pitch when your angry for christ sake, if everyone did that it would be a whole pitch invasion! He's banned next season now anyway, so alot of good that did ? He then got dragged off by stewards and passed all the arkells stand and he got a few cheers. Wooo he's the big man

Perhaps he knew he would get banned and be spared the shower of shite next season. It was really a masterful and cunning plan.
