Title: Bank Holiday Monday Football
Post by: Amir on Sunday, April 16, 2006, 13:43:33
Don't really fancy anything in the Premiership.  I've gone for...

Reading at home to Stoke
Southampton at home to 'Wall
Shitty at home vs. Oldham
Franchise at home to H'pool

About £140 off a tenner I think.

Did you have a tenner on it then?

Yeah, and I'll get another £400 if Wigan win tomorrow, and £100 if West Brom and Bolton draw.  When I gave up smoking I decided to throw myself head on into another vice :D

Fortunately I've been very lucky and am two grand up in 2006(though I've spanked half of that).

0-0 at half time. Pretty shite game in fairness.

The best tip I could give is don't bet as much money as I do.  You don't see many bookies on bikes

I'll put something up for Saturday but I wouldn't recommend anyone putting more than a couple of quid on.

Sounded like Bolton should have won it at the end.  Just shows how much luck there is in it, if Franchise hadn't scored in the last minute I wouldn't have been on for tomorrow nights bet either.

Anywhere you'd recommend to stay in Edinburgh btw?  It seems I'm working in the centre on Wednesday.  Nowhere in Leith please :D

Depends on budget. Sheraton maybe which is right in the centre of the city. Alternatively, there is a Travel Lodge just round the corner from the Sheraton which will be cheaper.

My office is directly behind the Sheraton.

Hello Edin, stayed in the travel lodge in the end, cheers.  Started work at 3am then went for a look at the castle afterwards(I've never had time before).  Was dozing on a bench about twenty metres from that gun when they set it off    Wondered why everyone was hanging around.

Wigan eh :\/   And I met a friend of Sam Parkin's today(I was impressed anyway).

Good stuff Amir! The American tourists that come up here are amazed they built the Castle so close to the shops!

Feckin' tourists.  If you want a photograph outside the castle I'll stop for you to take it.  If you want one of you in front of a shop because it sells kilts :x
