Title: Anyone see V for Vendetta?
Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, 09:18:53
Going to the Picturehouse tonight with some friends and they want to go and see said film. Anyone seen it or know what it is about?

Any other recommendations?? (And don't say come to Swansea!)

I saw it. Brilliant in places... Not so in others... A bit over long but well worth watching.

Portman is good and some of the action scenes are pretty good.

Cheers. Will have to put my phone on silent for text updates from tonight's defeat!

go to the cameo cinema in edinburgh (http://www.picturehouses.org.uk/static/newsletter/latest/edbg.html) and watch the three burials (http://www.picturehouses.org.uk/static/newsletter/latest/edbg.html#film_cg0db) it looks quality.

although v for vendetta is supposed to be alright.

if shooting dogs is out anywhere near you, GO SEE IT NOW.

To be honest, I don't go to the cinema very often, I am only going tonight as my mates are having a social evening out!!

Cheers for the advice though, will look out for those films, may buy them on copied DVD's in Stratford's from the Chinese guys after the football on saturday.

Enjoyed the film. Got really excited at 9 ish when my phone read 'Shakes 1-0'. I was praying that my phone wouldn't vibrate for another 30 minutes when the inevitable '1-1' and 'Swansea 2-1' came through 10 minutes after each other. Its shit being a Swindon fan at the moment, but you take the downs with the ups as a football fan!

So, uh, yeah, the film was good!
