Title: What To Do? Post by: Reg Smeeton on Monday, April 10, 2006, 13:50:00 Take a digital camera and go explore your local environment....woodlands and their fringes are particularly good at the moment, with evidence of the late spring starting to show.
See if you can get any interesting pictures of fauna particularly birds....or wild flowers. Depending of course on local conditions, primroses amongst my favourites are in prime condition. http://sophie-g.net/photo/nature/pct/primevere.jpg Then post them on here, and see if we can raise the tone...think Sadie would like it. Title: What To Do? Post by: Luci on Monday, April 10, 2006, 13:51:55 Considering Walrus appears to be offline now, it does concern me that hes actually taken up on one of the ideas posted

Post by: walrus on Monday, April 10, 2006, 15:57:41 Gave it a go Reg but the fauna in my area has been killed off by aircraft fumes.... I found a dog turd and a used condom. So I wrote a love renga on the snow instead - I'm not gay, it's part of my Creative Writing Coursework....
Graceful swirling fall Caught on the turbulent winds Beauty in motion Settling safely on the ground Or caught by smiling children. Born from the harsh cold The snowflake retains its grace As it is crafted Into snowmen and serves fun To happy smiling children. Frozen toes cold feet Rosy cheeks on every face Battered hands feel numb Obsessing mothers harass Eager children yearn to play. Skidding sledges slide Down laughter-filled slopes of joy The call of parents A deep dread of any child An end to their snow-fuelled fun. Muddy slush signals Death of an entertainer The warm vibrant sun Gloom on faces of the young Joy in bodies of the old. I need a final verse - gotta be 5,7,5,7,7 syllables! Mex - you're gonna get me in so much poo with my ex.... I'm seeing her on Wednesday, I won't be able to get that image out my head.... :| Title: What To Do? You'd be surprised the amount of flora and fauna that can be found in the most unlikely of places.....I recently spotted a huge flock of peewits in the fields at the end of Heathrow airport. Also one of the finest collection of spring flowers in Wilts is to be found in a small dell on the edge of Lyneham airfield. Title: What To Do? Post by: walrus on Monday, April 10, 2006, 17:42:41 Today is literally the worst day ever, I'm dying of boredom. I've still got the evening to get through. I'm gonna try for nozza's record.... I'm only on 2 at the moment though, could be a tough call. :| Title: What To Do? Post by: Simon Pieman on Monday, April 10, 2006, 17:43:23 I've spent the last five minutes learning the rest of Paranoid on the guitar. Not sure why though :|

There's primroses in my avatar....also a big pic about 3 down on this thread. You find them in hedgebanks and fringes of woods...if you're lucky you can get whole swathes of them. They used to be pretty common in Wilts but intense agriculture and people digging them up for gardens has made them a bit scarce. Title: What To Do?
