So flogged off the club he never wanted but which he had to buy to give him the excuse to build a stadium he charges the club (among others) through the nose for using. Or put another way, he's got rid of the FC that loses money, and kept the stadium that makes money. He must be laughing his tits off .... all the way to the bank.

Great Seinfeld moment when he talks about the phrase "laughing all the way to the bank" he was saying have you ever seen anyone do that or have you ever laughed all the way to the bank yourself?

I suppose you had to be there.  I miss Jerry Seinfeld....and George...and Kramer...!!

Anyone have a heads-up on who will own the Stadium and facilities?

Bringing in the Bald Eagle though is a masterstroke, cracking manager and I can see him doing well if he's given a few quid to run with.

According to the statement on their OS, Kassam's keeping the stadium and facilities but he's given the new team an "option to buy" them which lasts for (I think) seven years. Which might be better phrased as an "option to sell" for him and in the meantime, he keeps coining it in from rental etc. And if they don't come up with the dosh in the timeframe, they could well find themselves with the stadium sold out from under them. Oh, and they still won't get any of the extra revenue from the facilities etc. Nice.

Well, they are never going to be able to own the stadium and associated facilities and rent it back to the club for a start.........

You stupid prick, if anything I was making a direct comparison from Oxford's new situation to ours you fucking scummer.  i.e.neither own ground, both rent, no other income streams.

The joke was on us you fucking knobjockey.

Oh OF I am so upset that you don't take an eternity to read my posts.  In my eyes you're a poor excuse of a football fan.  Someone who, for the last two years has spent so much time on a rivals site, someone who everytime they get pissed moans about how shit his side are and how he wished he supported their arch rivals, yes, I really am offended that my posts don't set your world alight.

Maybe i'm missing something here, but £2m seems a hell of alot. What exactly have they got for that? Obviously, full control over the playing/coaching staff.....but did they get the training facilities/anything else?

Will the new board continue to pay rent until the end of the season and then make a bid for the facilities/ground, or does the aforementioned £2m cover that?

The buyers paid a pound for the scum.....and about 2 mill to Kasam for his loans etc.

They haven't bought any real estate, which would cost a lot more and is presumably dependent on being able to build a casino or something.

They have first option on buying the ground etc.

You've got to say fair play to Kassam....took the scum  for mugs, trousered millions which could have gone to them...and still gets rent for the ground.

can't understand why, he hasn't played in 2006 apparantly? gemmill could be a good signing i suppose, the others are pretty standard lower league fare. n'toya's goal celebrations are ace  8)
