I'm in my 3rd year accademically but it's my 4th in exeter. Failed one you see. To much drinking and not enough work.

Yeah think im heading that way because I can't really remember much of this term.

it is. Last year for me though. Still quite possible I'll leave without a degree in horrible amounts of debt. I've had a good time though and that's what's important.

to be honest 4 years of being skint is enough anyway. Crap job and saving up to go travelling looks quite appealing at the moment.

Where you planning on going travelling to? I seem to work every holiday we get at uni but as soon as I get back just spend the money on beer and i'm skint. Know a few ppl at exeter uni cos used to live near there. You know anyone from devon down there?

don't think so. did in my first year. but not sure I can even remember his name. Good and bad thing about being here for an extra year is that most the people I knew in the first year are gone.

Yeh I know what you mean. You meet so many people in the 1st year but for some reason never remember them again. How come youre not on easter?

I am. Going back to swindon tomorrow. stopping off in bristol on the way back to visit a few old mates. get 5 weeks of aswell. quite nice having so much time off but does mean ages till I get my next student loan

I applied to reading. the computer science open day was shit though and it put me off. Seemed more interested in showing us their lame boy researh that I didn't give a shit about than showing us important stuff like drinking places and accomidation. was originally my plan to go there so it would be easy to get back for town games.

Yeh its really easy for town games and pretty cheap being a student(sorry to all those that work). Reading is a really good uni for degree and nights out. Got voted best student club last year apparently.

nah I never had. Always mean to go visit mates there but can only ever afford it at the start of term and it always seems that there is something else to do.

You must have been out in Exeter? pretty shit although it's got better since the pubs are open later.  Not forced to fuck off to one of the shitty clubs at 11pm

Thats what i'm doing. Had alook round bournemouth uni but didn't really rate it. Don't know why though just seemed too much like being back at school.

Yeh ive been out in exeter. Like you said it's not great.  Althought there are some good clubs there.Plymouth is better but you'll probably be started on or beaten up.

Nowt to do with the 'muff specifically, more me being fed up with learning stuff! I couldn't justify getting in that much debt, and probably not having a thing to show for it at the end!

In the process of application, should be signed, sealed and delivered by the end of the month. Then it's interviews, meetings blah-de-blah....

Can't wait to be a student again though. I may even do some work this time round :D

I got completely fucked off and bored with the clubs in exeter about halfway through my first year. Not really a club person anyway. where you been in exeter. think there's only about 5? Arena, Warehouse, Timepiece, Ricoco's and Voltz which has closed down now. was opperating without a liscense.

Yeh ive been pretty much the same places. Although one of them think it was timepiece(cant remember which because got so hammered) had some big DJ's down like paul van dyk when i visited.

Thing is I don't go that often.

I knew some dude in my halls who was 30. he'd dropped out of about 4 uni's previously.  Must have been living the dream with all the young 18year old girls about.

You should definately apply to be in mainstream halls with all the youngsters village. it's what the whole uni experience is about.

Ben-you've got to go out in torquay. I think it's one of the best nights out you'll have. Lived there for almost 15 years and had some great nights out. There are so many pubs and clubs and pretty cheap.

I'll try and give torquay a go before I leave. It's on my things to do list.

Also includes watching some more exeter city games. Been to a few but not nearly enough. Knowing my luck they'll get promoted through the play-offs this year and after 4 years of uni, swindon will be in the same league as them.

Saw us play them in the ldv game a year back. Our reserve team comfortably beat them 2-1 I think. Actually think that may have been the last game I went to. fucking hell.

Seriously though Torquay is a great night out. Went to that game too and exeter were shit. I still cant stop thinking about playing accrington away!

I was planning to live with the folks (only 5 miles away) for the first year, so that i can save to go off travelling at the end of the first year. But i might just see how it goes. If i get an interesting offer to move into a student pad in the first year, i'll probably take it

Fucking hell. the last bit of my first bottle of cider nearly made me sick. Horrible flat cidery backwash. Time to crack on to the next bottle.

I knew someone in my first year who said he'd worked in a strongbow factory. said he'd never drink it again. Actually might have been blackthorne. fuck knows. think he might have been the 30year old.

don't live with your folks village, you'll miss out on most of the uni fun.

TBH though the girls i was in halls with i'm really good mates with now. The girl im with now was from a different halls so it's good to venture a little!

I think i might start off living at home, then find out where the best place to live is.....live with all the cool, sexy, drunken student people. That's the plan.

Same as Dev, apart from the fact I didn't manage to meet a bird from another halls. bloody ending up as friends, classic error. Ended up living with 4 of them for the next 2 years and having a good laugh though so it's all good.

On another note how did I not know that this film (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgt._Pepper%27s_Lonely_Hearts_Club_Band_%28movie%29) existed. Sounds like it's supposed to be shit but I still want to see it.

yeah defo. had a bit of a thing for one of them for a while. Could have probably gone for it but by that time we were living in the same house I've seen that get messy.

It is Ichi The Killer. Quite gruesome in parts, i thought it was quite good.

yeah my housemate rated it, allthough I think he might like pearl harbour so his opinion doesn't count for much.

Old-Boy is the best film I've seen in ages. The single cut fight scene down the corridor is brilliant. Plus the bits where he's pulling the dudes teeth out,  eat's a live squid (actually a live squid, no special effects) and when he cut's out his own tongue make it ace anyway.

I think I scared devon off with my rubbish film talk. You seem to be still online to amuse me village. I'm close to reading random wikipedia articles out of boredom. Increases my general knowledge but not exactly bukake exitment.

I'm still here. Was playing FM, but it decided to close itself, meaning i've lost the last half-hours play :x

I've done that on various fm/cm's loads of times. Always seems to happen when you're doing well and then when you replay the games you do crap.

Poker is always ace. One of my housemates from last year has done nothing but play poker since he graduated. He's bought a round the world plane ticket and saved up 6 grand for travelling. Makes me think I should play poker professionally when I finish uni.
