at this moment we're four points from getting out of the relegation zone..with hartlepool who are just above the rele zone having a game in hand and most others having played 38 like us.

In it's full glory...

Come back, baby come back.
Come back, baby come back.

This is the first time until today
that you have run away.
I'm asking you for the first time baby
love me enough to stay.
Hey, hey, hey...

I must admit I was a clown to be messing around
but that doesn't mean that you have to leave town.
Come Back! Yes and give me one more try
cause a love like this should a never ever die.
Come Back! Yes with my color T. V.
and my C. D. collection of Bob Marley.
Come Back! Yes with my bag of Sensi
and we can live together for eternity.

There ain't no use in you crying
'cause I'm more hurt than you.
I should a not been out flirting
but now my love is true.
Ooh, ooh, ooh...

Come back
(every time me think of my lies [...])
baby come back!
Come back
(every time me think of my lies [...])
baby come back!

But she gone and she not come back
me beg her please pon my knees and she still never stop
ready she ready ehe and a gone she gone
she and [...]

Come back baby don't you leave me
baby please don't go.
Oh won't you give me a second chance
baby I love you so.
Oh oh oh...

Come back woman.
Come back Lisa!
Don't leave!
Me crying man.
Come back baby!
Don't go!
Bring back me C. D. collection.
Bring back me Sensi.
Don't go and leave me like this.

Sonic - can't believe that was on a ska cd

This was of course a sample from the 60's band The Equals....who featured Eddie Grant.

I have a very vague memory of seeing them in a radical gig at the John Street car park in town.

It had about 3 stories and a band played on each level....think its been knocked down now? Not really a car park man.

I would question the right of that song to be on a "Best of Ska" compilation.

Right.. I'm thinking the gig in the car park was about 67 or 68 so that would stack up.

No best of ska is complete without  the Ska Wars theme by Rico.

Well not really ska at all but an ace track.

Can you ever imagine us beating anyone with 9 players on the pitch these days?

We've had a few games where we've ended up with 9...but the only one I can recall winning was v Plymuff around 89....when the landlord of The Dolphin scored a great goal.....they only had 10 mind and Shaun Close walked which was probably to our advantage.....we actually won 3-0 mainly due to Ossie's great tactical sub of taking off Duncan Shearer and playing with no forwards.

I do remember us taking a game into extra-time with only 9-but we lost on golden goal rule.Southend away in the LDV,Robinson and O'Halloran sent off,Turbo's debut and Reddy scored.

We've had a couple of draws with 9, including a 0-0 at Brentford.
