Bit of a sad way to end what's been a decent career in the great scheme of things.

Said it before and I'll sayit again I'm surprised just how wrong things went for him this season. Probably walking out on Bradford last season with no pre-season this year set him back a fair pace on things.

Summerbee's brief spell at Tamworth is over

Tamworth have parted company with veteran winger Nicky Summerbee.
Summerbee, 34, made four Conference appearances for the Lambs but has now been released.

The former Manchester City, Bradford and Sunderland wideman had also been a target for Halifax Town before joining Tamworth last month.

Summerbee's departure from the Lamb follows the retirement of Paul Merson last week after a solitary game for Mark Cooper's side.

Yes if Tamworth have let him go this late in the day I can't see him being of much use.

That said if Shakes decides to cock off on U21 duty then it's an option I suppose. :twisted:

Wheel him on in the 80th minute and see what he can knock in the box.

Sorry to go back to the subject at hand, but Summerbee looked great in the Forest game this season. He just kept playing the ball into the area, something we could do with what with a hungry Curo being where he should. At the moment, Curo is doing what Shakes should be doing by cutting out to the wing, leaving no attacking force in front of goal

Such a shame, as played well for Bradford last year and set up a lot of goals for Windass.

But as Dazzza says, the lack of pre-season probably did for him.

Never mind, still have the memories of him.
