Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: STFCere on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 14:39:10 anyone know when these guys are due back?
lots of talk about how badly we miss them, not much about when they're due back! No time soon, although should play again this season. Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: Tails on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 14:43:37 Well Charlie said he'd be back for yesterday, obviously not. As Reg said though, no time but hopefully before Yeovil away at least.
Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: STFCere on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 14:50:11 so can we assume for Charlie about 2-3 weeks?
and P.Smith lucky if we seem him play again this season? Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: DV on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 16:01:48 I dont think we will see Paul Smith for another 6 weeks.
I heard it was bone bruising, when I did that I was told to completely rest it for 6 weeks to let it heal.... Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: adje on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 17:08:46 Unless Migz dramatically rediscovers his form we're fucked, and I dont care what people call me but with the midfield options we have at the moment we are certs to go down.
Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: Tails on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 17:12:05 Centre of midfield maybe. No doubt that Aaron Brown is dangerous when he gets the ball, one of the best players we have at the moment IMO. If Shakes discovers some form he's very dangerous aswell.
I am very worried about the state of our central midfield and Iffy doesn't seem bothered about it. Give Whalley a go I reckon. Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 17:45:32 i fucking hate the predicitons of injury lay offs! its annoying because they always say "he'll be back in a couple of weeks" and 2 months down the line they still aint played! i bet we wont see these two again this season :-))(

I agree i really think it's time to give Whalley a go, just to see what he can do, if he's shit, then we'll just have to find someone else!! but we're never going to know till we try him!! Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: Tails on Sunday, March 5, 2006, 18:00:57 He can't be any worse, and maybe our new style of play will suit him as it did Cureton.

Anyone got the stats on how many games CCP and Smith actually played together?
Strange but true, that when Migz and Gurney have been in central midefield (when playing 4-4-2) for more than about 50 mins of a game we have won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1 of the last 5. I reckon they or ok together in midfield, mainly for the fact that they both sit deep. It works at this level provided the wide men are on form, thats where it went tits up I think. Shakes got distracted by his big day in London and against Forest Brown moved inside where he seems lost. Migz and Gurney can break up play or frustrate teams simply by being there, as odd as that sounds. It makes teams have to go around them or over them if they both sit in and defend. It'd be nice to have CCp or Smith to give an extra dimension but I don't think it's the end of the world. Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: McLovin on Monday, March 6, 2006, 14:48:04 How do you bruise a bone? I thought bruises were formed by blood in the affected area?

I thought bruises were formed by blood in the affected area? Isn't that just a symptom of a bruise though. I thought a bruise was just damage to tissue. I'm guessing if you bruise a bone it's the soft bit that gets damaged but that's a complete guess and is sadly likely to be wrong :| Title: Charlie CP + Smith Post by: adje on Monday, March 6, 2006, 16:21:21 Quote from: "Dave Blackcurrant" How do you bruise a bone? Looking good.
