If this suggestion was indeed true it was probably just that - a suggestion. Surely the club would decide the offers. STFC probably realised they would lose money, even with free stewarding if that arrangement were to take place. That was a fiver for a ticket though and many fans that would normally pay full price paid only £5. So I reckon the club didn't make any extra from that. In reality we wouldn't have made much. If the Bank was opened would it really create much more profit? Probably not as some people who pay full price would move to the cheaper seats. Those that came for a fiver might not want to pay £10 etc. etc.
