In all seriousnous I don't know much about what he said. Clearly it wasn't just "the holocaust never happened" there was obviously some sort of spin on it.

Places like Austria and Bavaria (where it's illegal to do the nazi/Roman salute) are not too proud of their 1930's & 40's history and fair play for them for taking a hard line against nazi's now!!

Sorry to go a bit OT but ive just come back from Austria and whilst in Vienna i went on the big Ferris wheel thing that gives spectacular views of the city...while taking in these views my Lady looks to me and says "those buildings over there used to be gas chambers ! "  :shock:  after asking her not to say it again i carefully explained that they used to be towers that held the gas to power the city . From my pretty limited political vision it seems like a less complicated and more specific version of our laws against inciting racial hatred. Of course our law would break down in this situation becasue it would be pretty difficult to proove intent.

Of course it should come down to a general education where everybodys got the knowledge to judge when people are talking bollocks, but there are always going to be a few who slip through the net and it seems like human nature to head for an us and them point of view. Whoever 'them' may be.

He basically discovered that there was no written proof that Hitler had anything to do with the holocaust, so technically, it never happened. Hitler did not sign agreements, and therefore it is impossible to legally link him with the extermination camps.

The guy went on a tour of Europe lecturing on his findings. He happened to stop off in Austria where it was illegel. Oops. Guilty. End of.

but that was the way Hitler worked. he never wrote anything done certainly not in authorisation terms anyway. probably for that very reason
