I imagine a few 'first teamers' like Jenks, Roberts, Pook were involved, but it's a safe bet it was a mainly youth outfit.

Jenks, Pook, Roberts, Whalley and Holgate all played.

5 players that have featured in our first team this season.

Me and my mate said we should have gone to this. Looked at the half time score and I'm glad I didn't

I would have gone, but didn't know it was on....there's usually something on the official site.

Oh well.  Although it could have been entertaining seeing Igoe score.....it would have only fed my growing feeling that all is not well in SN1 and Sat was the first sign.

Yep insomuch as things were starting to look a bit better all round...which was always likely to be a chimera...Sat the first confirmation of that.

Or maybe it was just a crap performance. (Which I did predict I might add)

I wonder which meaning Reg was applying to things at  STFC as a chimera.

(1) A fantastic or or grotesque product of the imagination, a bogey.( What, all those lovely wins and draws!)
(2) Any fabulous beast with parts taken from various animals. ( Didn't think Iffy's transfer dealings were that bad!)

Clearly talking about Ifil's new contract

i went and we were shite! Roberts looked very unfit and like he could'nt be arsed! our passing was crap, our tackling was crap, everything was crap! its worrying that this is a backup for our team because we are in shit if any of these jokers play in the 1st team!

I read on the website that andy caton was involved in a minor car accident in oxfordshire last week. Thankfully it was only minor.

Maybe we should start giving our players driving lessons

To add to my feeling of all not being well.....can now be included the fact that the Government and PFA are pulling out of funding centres of excellence etc.  The only reason Iffy and Woan had a job was because of this......Iffy will now get the King money in the summer but we'll presumably lose Woan and the rest of that set up.

Why are they doing that? Because they have decided already we will win the world cup so dont need to bring any players few for the next 4 years or something?! Seems ridiculous to me

There are some funds which come down from the Prem and FL....the PFA withdrew as they're spending their money on other stuff like paying wages of pikey clubs....the Government matched the sums paid by the football authorities but now feel they should pay for the lot if they value these schemes.

So its up to football, can it support fully these sort of schemes or will they close down...one thing we can be sure of STFC wont pay for its own.

but you have to admit that for a reserve side with the likes of Jenko, Christian, Whalley and to a certain extent Ashan Holgate should be performing a lot better than that

The performance today, seemingly adds to a growing body of evidence that  all is not well  at the CG.

My guess is the contract situation is causing a degee of unrest with several players having mentally already left the club....probably causing a rift with those that are staying for next season.

well there pros so should be playing for whoever they are playing for to there max. certaintly won't get a contract playing like that and will end up playing in lower divisions.

we have plenty of players, but i think so many players arent league one quality....
