yet  :x  :(  .Perhaps its me being cynical because Sky's commitment to Englands over-seas tours has been great,but because they have all the rights to the home series ,now maybe they aren't so bothered about spending the money,its only five million ffs!

Next week,the first of March,not long to go now :D  The Indian squad is announced tommorrow.And strangely i feel quite excited about our chances.
A couple of weeks ago the Indian board sold they T.V rights for a huge amount of cash,so this company have to recoup the money back by charging more than usual.There are other t.v stations in the frame,but unfortunately they are Indians ones which you'd have to pay extra for :-))(

:cry:  :x  Just heard on Talk sport,that a t.v company called Nimbus has the rights,so they have sold the test series to Setanta [sp?].  £150.00 to watch it,Radio Four it is for me then.The only plus point at Sky not showing it is that we will be spared another dodgy theme tune,the music that they had for the Pakistan tour got on my wick.
There is still a chance that Sky might put in a late bid though.

It is a disgrace that some Aussie has been allowed to buy (and sell at a premium price) any of England's games. It all seems to be about the money now. It could have been OK if they had made more on the TV deal, and then given it back in terms of cheap tickets to tests to increase accessibility, but they haven't. It is now upwards of £50 for a day at Lords. Nonsense.

The trouble is money talks,and to be fair to Sky they have done a great job covering away tours, something which never happened before.I agree 100 per cent that the Cricket should be on terrestrial T.V,but the ECB decided to sell out to Murdoch :evil: I'm sure Sky want to show it but the lateness of the Indian board agreeing the their own T.V deal hasn't helped.But there isn't really an excuse,its only five million quid,Murdoch probably makes that amount of money every hour.

I think it should be on channel 4 so everybody can watch but i do prefer the coverage on Sky!, at least they dont break for the fucking horse racing.  :evil:

What no one seems to get is that before Sky came along ,Away test series were never on normal t.v.Anyway the likelyhood of a terrestrial t.v channel bidding or getting it now is nought, they aren't and never were interested.

The general consensus on some of the other forums is that the company that own the rights [Nimbus]have decided to hold Sky to ransom,assuming [rightly i would have said] that they would pay a lot for the right to cover the series,Sky are calling their bluff and playing a waiting game.I mean yesterday the prat the runs this company said Sky weren't in contention at all,this morning it comes out that they still are :-))( .
