I don't think it was bad so much as still looking a bit pre-seasony from us, which is to be expected.  Take Reed - I am assuming there is much more to come from him because he has largely been absent from the game and is the main reason they have had a few chances.  Not directly, just because the middle looks a bit lightweight with him playing the way he is today.

Gladwin looks great in their half and a worry in ours.  Same as he always did, another reason having a player so off the pace behind him is an issue I think.

Payne continues to be an enigma to me.  He plays like a schoolkid.  Lots of talent but wasted because he is constantly getting in the way of attacks by trying to get involved all over the pitch.  Wastes too much energy as a result and often out of position for both attack and defence.  Coaches need to work with him on playing a role.

I still think there is a lot to build on with this squad and we will probably do quite well this season.

not sure if I'm more disappointed with the performance of the players or the fans. quiet as anything. Carlisle are winning on both fronts.

gladwin and Payne invisible this week and we desperately need to get a grip on midfield
Agree re midfield.

Halftime stats misleadingly show us bettering a 60:40 possession advantage - but that's nearly all fanning about at the back.

Payne's played well I think.

More tweaks needed. Let's see what the second half brings.

I feel we need a forward able to hold up the ball for midfielders, wingback to run onto.  Like many, Simpson not really fitting in yet.

I just can't listen to the muppets on Carlisle comms any more, they are annoying me more than losing is annoying me.

Obviously the one that the grammar police don't like, sorry I wasn't aware that my teacher was grading my posts..  Grammar is not really my priority when posting during a game

Gladwin looks decent going forward but not defending so much today.

Gladwin is not at the races so far today. I hope he proves me wrong with a cracking goal.

Anyone remember Rob Hunt? He used to be quite good once.

Great take by Simpson but he tries a shot when he should have passed.
