In retrospect, it was probably best for our chances of promotion that Di Canio went when he did, as he'd probably have quit 5 times over in the time since he left!
At least we have a manager now whose had a few weeks working with the squad, whose accepting of his inabilty to control what goes on in the boardroom and who'll get on with his job allowing the players to concentrate on getting on with theirs.
Probably the best we could hope for out of the ongoing clusterfuck of backroom wranglings that continue to overshadow what occurs on the field of play.
A win tomorrow would do the atmosphere around here a world of good.

They weren't as good as Spinal Tap though, remember it as funny at the time, but watching it now I just cringe:

Didn't Morshead, say something about very bad news, but not referring to the Um Bongo. Or did I imagine that?

I think their original albums are much much better than their TV stuff (not the music bits though, they are painful ). The re-issue isn't quite as good, it cuts bits out.

Probably something to do with the Leveson Enquiry, they all have to tell the truth from now on and not widly speculate and fabricate.

While we're on Ade Edmonson, I saw him and his band the bad shepherds at a festival last summer, thought they were excellent.

I've never taken to the Bad Shepherds for some reason. I think it might be thay Ade's mandolin makes all the songs sound a bit the same. The banjo on Mumford and Sons has a similar effect.

Yeah. Over-use of the same sounds gets a bit tiresome after a while, especially when mumford and sons use the same 'noise' over and over again... Far as mandolins go, they're best used sparingly. Lindisfarne was cracking at doing that.
