Thanks Boeta. I like to state the obvious, it keeps me involved in this world of geekdom. btw, I'm with Yeovil on the Cricket front. Coudn't, wouldn't and can't care less about a man throwing a bit of leather at a stick. Each to they're own though.

Errr..... I've just realised I was thanking the wrong man. Thanks Chris. :beers Cricket's a thinking man's game. And as I'm sure Si and Whits will tell you, I am a thinking man.

Maybe use the quote thingys so as not to get confused? I felt quite upset to be so harshly cut down by someone I'd never spoken to :? Still fucking hate Cricket though! You play for 4 days and you call it a draw? What's wrong with extra time and pens? Ooops sorry, can't have that it's time for tea Zimbabwe anyone?

You can play for 5 days and it can still turn out to be a draw. What's the problem with that though?

Just seems like a bit of a waste of 5 days, surely after all that much play you'd like to have a winner at the end of it?
Maybe I'm missing the point, but it seems a bit odd.

Perhaps you have missed the point, but at the same time I'm struggling to explain that very same point.

Only those that play/watch cricket can appreciate such unique nuances of the sport. I suppose the main thing is how intriguing a contest Test matches usually are. The game ebbs and flows over five days and at the end of that, imposing a defeat and vicotry on either side would be unfair on them, if neither has fairly won the game.
Fraid not Johno. Two reasons:
1) I spent all summer playing cricket. Every single day. The only times I get to watch cricket these days is on the box, day-nighters and the brilliant piss ups at Cheltenham
2) Somerset are an embarrasment to all concerned.

I could never tire of watching that.
The roar of the crowd and the reactions of the people in the town end is fantastic.
The dude who jumps 4 rows - what a legend!
