Had a great record with Liverpool in Europe to be fair. Let's be honest the Champions League is what matters most to Chelsea.
Apparently not as they just sacked the first guy to win it for them

What I find alarming as that they think Rafa Benitez is the man for the job
So they have approached Benetez to gage if he fancies taking over on a short term basis? Presumably that means until the summer when Roman will try and pull Pep again. Has Rafa really fallen that far? I'd find it fucking hilarious if RA splashes out another £150m and then Pep tells him he doesnt fancy it and goes to Man City or Arsenal or United. RDM should have told RA to fuck his job offer in the summer when Buck and Gourley were doing a whistletop tour of Europe sounding out every other Tom, Dick and Harry if they wanted the job. RDM could have walked into any other job in Europe back then on the back of his European Cup win. I wish he'd make John Terry the temporary manager, the sack the cunt after a couple of defeats. That would send the West London cunts into meltdown!

I saw a comment on twitter or facebook along the lines of
Chelsea have had seven managers in seven years & won seven trophies. Arsenal have had one manager, and have won nothing in that time.
I guess it shows that the approach of getting in managers short term & throwing money at it can work

...if you've got the money available to chuck.
And, anyway, you can look at Man Utd and say that keeping a manager long term (and throwing money at it) works as well.

Benitez appointed until end of the season. That'll please Chelski fans !!
I find it ironic that it's mostly the CL form that got RDM the sack, yet without winning it last season they wouldn't be it all, as they finished outside the top 4.

Over the last 7 seasons Chelsea have pissed away around £400m - that's the sum of the losses from their annual accounts. Not sure what the Arsenal accounts are like for the same period but I believe they are run as a business and hover around break even, they certainly don't have someone pumping never ending funding in. Chelsea are the worst football club in existence and exemplify everything that is wrong in the game.

Not least the fact that it's working. That alone is an indictment on the way the modern game is run

Well he lasted 3 days longer than I expected! 'Arry lined up to replace him after the game vs Man Ure at the weekend.

I suspect QPR have probably gotten wind the 'Arry had almost agreed to become Ukraine manager, so instead of waiting until Christmas and Hughes to fuck them up some more they had to act fast and I reckon 'Arry will be appointed over the weekend.

I wonder if Arry and his agent sweetened the palms of the Ukranian FA to link him with the job in order to speed up the kicking out process at QPR? There was more chance of me taking it than Arry.

Ladbrokes have got PDC at 40/1 for the QPR Job, Arry is 1/33.

Wonder what odds PDC will be on the hoops list of next managers?
