Does the cap fit, Jeremy?

INTERIM chairman Jeremy Wray will attend a Football League chairman’s conference this week where a proposal to reduce the salary cap in League Two will be discussed.

Quote from: Jeremy Wray
I don’t feel the difference between 60 per cent and 55 per cent will have a great impact. The more important issue is what is counted as turnover

Interesting quote from Wray...

Will we be trying to work the system a bit, or try to stop, for example, Crawley, doing that?

Crawley must be doing that. Last season they had average gates of 2500- and their capacity is under 5000.

Currently the cap is not worth the paper it is written on. It urgently needs defining of what constitutes "turnover"
