Likewise I dont really give a shit about Mulgrew, he had the choiced to join us, but chose to go elsewhere, and like you say if you take the STFC emotion out of it, it looks a better move for him.

Your post offends me less now you have stated it was a minority of fans you aimed the comments at, although it does seem to keep your traditional viewpoint of everything scottish is brilliant despite the fact you presumably have lived in Swindon for some time. Have you ever been to Scotland?

I see the sweaties want their own team in the 2012,  Olympics....fair play Chris Hoy pointed out that in cycling there might be a problem as there are no training facilities, but he'd be happy as long as his funding was retained.

I have no problem with Mulgrew picking Aberdeen over us, but there ought to be players in the Sweatie lower divs who might be improveable.. sort of McMarshals.

Lee Collins probably isn't the best example, but McMahon did at least look at clubs like Albion Rovers for potential players... I thought MM would be doing similar.

Where did the phrase sweaties  come from and did the Scotch really invent the Scotch egg?

To be fair to Mulgrew and Scotch football had he chose to come to a L1 side over a Scotch premier league team it would be a further indictment of how bad the state of their game is.

"sweaties" = sweaty sock = jock

Mulgrew is mint and it's no surprise that he's performing for Aberdeen and Scotland under 21.

Was gutted when Mulgrew didnt sign for us. Although Aberdeen would be a bigger attraction than us, unless there was a definite chance of promotion this season.

His penalty miss the other night was shocking though!

Mulgrew is one that got away.

In their review of the SPL, Pat Nevin said he was Aberdeen's star performer.

Hopefully we do better attracting this calibre of player over the summer.
