This kinda made me think a little while watching Fever Pitch, its so true...

Quote
Football has meant to much to me and has come to represent to many things, you see after a while it all gets mixed up and you can’t decide if life’s crap because arsenal are crap or the other way round, been to watch far to many games, spent far to much money, fretted about arsenal when I should have been fretting about something else, but perhaps its something you can’t understand unless you belong. 3 minutes to go and your 2-1 up in the semi final, you look around and you see all those faces contorted with fear and hope and worry, everything gone out of there heads, the whistle blows and everyone goes spare, just for those few minutes your at the centre of the whole world, the fact that you care so much that the noise you’ve made has been such a crucial part of it all is what makes it special, because you’ve been every bit as important as the players and if you hadn’t of been there then who would have been bothered about football.

The great thing is it comes around again and again, theres always another season, if you lose the cup final in may there is always the 3rd round to look forward to in January, its actually very comforting if you think about it.

My two for the day...

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
Frank Sinatra

An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with the fools he must come in contact with every day.

I must admit sonic I thought I'd seen it in O'Neils, but usually I'm not sober enough to tell if I imagined it :guinness:
